AD200
The AD200 is a 200W cordless Lithium-ion powered TTL and HSS enabled strobe with an in-built Godox 2.4GHz X-system radio receiver inside (currently for Canon, Nikon, Olympus/Panasonic, Fuji and Sony). Being dedicated off camera flashes they feature no hotshoe and are a slimline monoblock unit. The AD200 provide a similar compact size of a speedlite with some added power.
AD200Pro
The AD200Pro keeps the winning design of its predecessor (the AD200, above), but adds better colour stability via a dedicated “Stable Colour Temperature Mode.” Other changes include an improved, and now recessed, rear display; an increased power range; and output that is changeable in 1/10 increments. Godox also claims slightly faster recycle times.
AD300Pro
With strong power, all-in-one large capacity battery and round flash head, the AD300 Pro can offer studio-level soft and even light effects. With compact and lightweight body weighing just 1.4kg, the AD300 Pro allows you to travel light. Boasting 9 power stops from 1/256-1/1 and 10 stop 12W LED Bi-Colour modelling light you are in full control.
AD400Pro
The Godox AD400Pro 400W Witstro All-In-One Outdoor Flash is similar to the larger Godox AD600Pro with a sleeker design. t provides up to 400W of output with nine steps of power, ranging from 1/1 to 1/256, and comes with a powerful 2600mAh / 21.6V lithium-ion battery pack that provides up to 390 full-power flashes, perfect for outdoor or on-location shooting. Alternatively, you can run the monolight on AC power with an optional adapter.
AD600B
The Godox AD600B is a 600W lithium-ion powered TTL and HSS enabled portable flash strobe light, compatible with both Canon and Nikon 2.4GHz radio receiver units built inside. The AD600B can be controlled with full HSS and TTL support. It can also be wirelessly controlled by the 2.4GHz Godox X1T transmitter units as well as Godox master speedlites such as the Godox TT685.
AD600Pro
Featuring a 2.4 GHz wireless X system with a range of up to 100m, the AD600Pro Witstro All-In-One Outdoor Flash from Godox is a versatile flash compatible with several TTL systems, including Canon E-TTL II, Nikon i-TTL, Sony, and Panasonic. It offers up to 600W/s with nine steps of output power, ranging from 1/1 to 1/256, and comes with a powerful 28.8V/2600mAh lithium-ion battery pack that provides up to 360 full-power flashes in outdoor situations and location shooting. Alternatively, you can run the monolight on AC power with an included cord for when portability is not a concern.
AD1200Pro
Featuring wireless control via the 2.4 GHz wireless X system with a range of up to 328' and 1200Ws of power, the AD1200Pro Battery Powered Flash Kit from Godox is an impressive lighting tool compatible with several TTL systems including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, and Panasonic.
It offers up to nine steps of output power, ranging from 1/1 to 1/256, and comes with a powerful 36V/5200mAh lithium-ion battery pack that provides up to 500 full-power flashes that make it suitable in outdoor or location shooting. Alternatively, you can run the monolight on AC power with an optional adapter.

    I would either choose the 200pro x2 setup or the 300pro x2 setup I shoot small ecomerce products either sets will do well....but if your shooting like a model full length the 400Pro (since you would need a large softbox/octo/para) would be ideal and as a back light maybe the 300pro would be great. Product shots the original 200 has inconsistency with color which the 200pro fixes which is worth the extra pricetag

    Great video..just a quick question.. i have the Ad300 and just ordered the ad600Bm. I also have the Ad-s65 softbox for the Ad300. Does godox have an adapter that would allow me to attach godox mount modifiers to the AD600BM?

  • @hypop

    @hypop

    11 ай бұрын

    Hey there, there's no way to adapt Godox mount modifiers to Bowens mount lights such as the AD600BM. Since the Godox mount is smaller it can't be mounted onto a bigger light since it will likely obstruct the flash bulb. You can however adapt the other way around so - Bowens mount to the AD300 Pro works by using the Godox S2 bracket.

    Still happy with my AD600B strobes. The new ones of course seem great but it's hard for me to justify the cost when I have a solution that already covers most of my needs. Mount wise, I don't find the Godox mount particularly attractive as that locks you in to using certain strobes. With Bowens, you can choose from a much wider variety of modifier brands as well as adapt other bands to Bowens. You can always adapt your strobe to a larger mount (S2 bracket is awesome) but never the other way around.

  • @hypop

    Agree with your point RE: the Godox mount. It is a little limiting but if just starting out on the system a great cheaper alternative as some of their modifiers are inexpensive in comparison

  • @hypop

    @hypop

    Жыл бұрын

    There aren't many limitations on using these strobes apart from being restricted to the battery capacity / battery life. It's always useful to have some fully charged spares, especially when on long shoots. The fact that they're portable and can also be plugged into a mains makes them one of the most versatile lights (AD400Pro, AD600Pro) whereas the AD100Pro, AD200Pro and AD300Pro are battery only. All the battery chargers and AC adapters are 110-240V compatible so all you'll need is a standard plug adapter if using in different countries / regions.

    How does the AD400Pro compare to the Godox Sk400ii? Does the Godox Sk400ii and AD400Pro connect wirelessly to Nikon D5600 and D850? I'm new to external flashes and am attempting to learn which lights are best for my small shooting space. I shoot fashion editorials and actors' headshots. Does the Godox Sk400ii need to be plugged into an outlet or can it be used outside as well?

  • @hypop

    @hypop

    The AD400Pro is both a battery operated flash and with the optional AC400 can be plugged into a mains so it's perfect if you ever have a shoot on-location or outdoors. The SK400II is a mains powered flash only and doesn't have a battery operation mode.

    LOWER YOUR VOICE WHEN YOU FINISH A SENTENCE! That aside, and that it is very relaxing to watch a 25 minute commercial 😉 I found two of those flashes the most useful, the 200s, because they are so extremely versatile and very small, and, strange enough, the 1200. Because the block-flashes can be quite tedious to use outside - a big fat block on top of a long pole can get pretty unstable fast. So either you get an extension head, clamp the powerpack onto the foot of your light-stand,… or you just put the powerpack of your 1200 on the floor. And should you need more power than a single 200 offers, but not quite the big gun, well, the dual-head (see timecode 4:00) is the solution. So, yeah, for me it is 200s and a 1200.

    The AD200 range for a quick run and gun portable flash utilising HSS - something that's lightweight and portable. Otherwise go for the AD300Pro and AD400Pro as stronger output alternatives. We'd suggest some octagon softboxes any size from the 80cm-120cm (the bigger the softbox, the softer the light).

    I will go with a 400pro, more power the better, especially you may not have a assistant with you, to control the distance and other factors, having higher power light is better. I can tell you this myself, I am finding little problem with 200pro now becasue the power output, when I need to control some distance without assistant.

  • @hypop

    The AD360II is great however an older flash which is why it wasn't included here. The AD360II has the same mount as the AD200 series so you can use the same lighting modifiers and accessories. The main difference will be the external battery pack (PB960) which means just more parts to worry about. The main advantage of the AD360II is that it can be camera hot shoe mounted however the AD200 can now do this with the EC200 extension head.

    We've written a blog about this: www.hypop.com.au/blogs/blogs/how-to-take-care-of-your-godox-batteries Just some basic care when using a lithium ion battery. Most people buy these flashes, leave them in their cupboards and don't take them out for months and expect the battery health to be maintained. Godox have made some improvements with all newer model AD400Pro and AD600Pro batteries to reduce the chances of them failing.
