Thank you for the tutorial! I wish manufacturers could start making quality videos like this instead of us reading confusing manuals.

Great tutorial. I am an amateur and not using these devices daily, so it is nice to be able to have a quick refresher if it has been a while since using them.
This is exceptional and educational I was anticipating whether to buy this flash or not now my mind is completely made up.

You look like Tapper from CNN buddy. Thanks for video!
Amazing thanks a lot. I have Nikon so some different
Great concise video. I'm not quite sure of the modelling lamp's purpose. Can it be used as a light source without the flash triggering? Love to see it in action. Newby to flash!
Thanks for this great instructional video! You may want to consider time stamps for a video this long.

Thanks for the feeback! It's something we've been adding to our latest videos, and we'll be slowly adding chapters to all of our video manuals.
Thank you for great walk through. Is there a way to set up so flash does fire to match shutter speed ?
Thanks!

Hello and thank you for this video :) I've got a quick question, is it possible to automatic turn on the modeling lamp whenf focusing to have a focus on a dark place ? and then it turn off ?
hi and thanks for the informative video, but do you also have one about shooting burst with flash? I am beginner in shooting with flash and can't find out what settings or flash I need for make that possible with my Panasonic S1R in AFC, because then the flash sometimes fires only 1x time... right now I use it with the Godox V860IIIo
Great tutorial! when I power up the V1 The modeling lamp is on and how do I turn it off?
so, what are the best settings to portraits with this amazing lamp?:)
Great video. However, I've still about three questions, whom to ask?
simple question: how do you keep the menu light on? It keeps turning off and when we get to the wireless controls, turning it on activates the D channel
I just purchased and wondering if the "A" is specific to canon. My flash has the "M" and wondering if this is ok for my canon cameras? Thanks
Hello, I just purchased the Sony version and have it paired with my a7iii. I noticed the auto zoom isn’t working as did yours in the video. Manual zoom is working ok. Any suggestions or answers as to why? Thanks!
Can you use HSS with the V1 off camera? Whenever I go into the "orange" mode if I activate HSS on my trigger it doesn't register in the "orange" mode on the V1.
Hi, I am new to flash photography and just bought the V1. I don't have the Flash Exposure Bracketing option on my LCD. I am using the V1 on a Sony A6700. Is FEB not an option for this camera? Thanks in advance!
Have the fixed the colour shift and high failure rate yet?
Have a somewhat dumb question, but don’t think it was covered in the vid. When using Wireless mode, it seems to not work when the camera is set to Auto. Even when I turn wireless on, when I hit the shutter it goes back to regular ETTL. Is this expected behavior, or am I doing something wrong or have a faulty flash?
Can you adjust the length of time that the screen blue backlight remains on? EDIT: Got it, never mind. It's in the menus.
Hi Mike. As always great video. I have been roped into shooting two indoor events. Both candid - elementary school with fast moving kids and 50th HS reunion with slow moving seniors. I normally shoot landscapes with no flash with my R6, but have now purchased the Godox v1 just because of these two events. Should I stay with Program mode and E-TTL? Thanks.
@Strobepro
Жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, Program mode will function in TTL, but there are a lot of moving parts. If you are comfortable, we'd suggest setting a manual exposure with your shutter at or below your sync speed. You can then adjust your aperture as necessary, and TTL will take care of the rest. ISO can be left in auto if you wish! It's just nice to have control of the aperture at the very least so that you can keep groups of people in focus when you need to.

@@Strobepro Thanks for your quick reply. I'll give that a try.
Sync and Feb don't appear in my menu on the Fuji version... Or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you this was a great video!! I wonder if you could answer I have the canon r3 and with the new hot shoe, will this be ok using this flash not worried about the waterproof. Canon does have a adapter some say you need it and some saw you don't!!!!! Hope you can answer Thank you this is the best video on KZread for this flash.

Hi Debbie, We don't have much hands on experience with Canon's new accessory shoe, but I know there can be some pin alignment issues that will cause your camera to give you an error code. Carefully aligning the pins is less of an issue with a flash trigger like the XPro or X2T. A V1 flash could be more prone to sliding. For that reason, you might want to invest in the adapter even though it adds a bit of height to the setup.

Thank you a lot for getting back to me I just got the little adapter it is very small so that is good going to be trying OCF today I hope it goes good again thank you
Thanks for the thorough video! I purchased the Flashpoint equivalent of this, hoping the V1 would talk to my Flashpoint R2 TTL speedlight, but so far I have not been successful. Is that not possible or is that user error? I have checked to make sure both units are on the same channel and I believe I had them in the proper master/slave relationship.

Hi Elisa, Depending on when you bought that R2 speedlite, it could potentially need a firmware update. V1 and V860ii flashes are definitely compatible.
Your video is so awesome and helped me understand the flash. But in ETTL - A mode, I am not seeing it syncing the focus length and exposure with the lens. What am I doing wrong?
