I want to know if this flash is good in a6000

Hahaha I should have had this video before I returned my wireless trigger. I thought it never worked, got frustrated and returned it. Never saw the little camera logo on the screen.

I cannot figure out why is it that when I go over a shutter speed of 250, the top half of the image gets cut off and appears almost black, even with the high speed sync on. Is there something else I'm not getting when trying to set up high speed flash? I'm using a Sony a7 for what it's worth.

If you're getting that black bars, that means that the camera doesn't see that you have a high speed flash. So it may have a bad connection on the hot shoe and not sending a signal to the camera maybe

HSS only work via wireless trigger (XT1), if you mount it via hot shoe, it wont work

The "hotshoe" base is not a hotshoe. The "hotshoe" is on the camera, the plasic base has a "cold shoe".

can i use this TT600 as a master and not need a transmitter

Yes, you will need to change that in the settings. It’s not my favorite method because the flash needs to face the other flash units because it’s going to use light to trigger. If you’re outdoors or the distance is too far, it will not always work. I’ve tested this; I prefer using the transmitter and receive.

This Flash is Sony version as it TT600S. So if i use it on Sony directly without Transmitter, then will it work with HSS as even 2000 shutter speed without issues?

I don't think so, I think you have to use the trigger to get the HSS with sync.

Hi, what flash trigger are you using? I see that the x1t-s is compatible but is the one you have compatible with the tt600s? Have you had any problems?

This is what I have: amzn.to/427pCQ6 They have a newer model, but I have the older model and it does what it's supposed to. No issues after 6 years

Can't you use the Flash for the trigger of another flash instead of the dedicate X pro/s trigger ???

Possibly. I know some flash units can be triggered with another flash, but I personally don't use that feature because at events, there are other photographers that would trigger your flash randomly. I always use a dedicated flash with a trigger. This brand seems to be very affordable and no issues after years of use.

Yes, I've never had any issues. One of the reasons I got this model was because it will do high speed sync, so you can shoot higher shutter speed than 250, which is common with the basic flash

Do you know if is good for the Sony a7c? I had the confusion and got the TT600 and was not for sony

Can I use for a Sony A6400?

I personally haven't tried it but it should work for all sony (a series) cameras. It has the hot shoe specifically designed for them.

When I put the flash on the camera, it doesnt recognise there is a flash in the hotshoe, so the picture will still show dark. Is there a serting Im missing? Or is it like that because its a manual flash?

It's possible you bought the wrong flash for your camera. There is a Sony version, canon and Nikon. They hot shoes are different. Or maybe you didn't seat it tightly to connect to the terminals. It should auto detect as soon as you connect it and turn on the power.

@@VisionGuy i bought 2 the tt600s new for my A7Rii . Tried a lot of times, neither were recognised. On another ocasion I tried a tt685s and a v860s and both were recognised straight away. Hence my doubt if it’s a settings problem or something else Im missing

@@brunobianchi330 I'll make a quick video later today showing the terminal pins on my flash which is specifically made for the sony. I'm wondering if your flash was made for Canon or Nikon and got mixed up? All the flags units are identical even the firmware, but the pins on the flash are different. I'll send a link in a few hours.

@@VisionGuy I highly doubt it, since I bought 2 of them from separate places, both clearly labelled S on the actual speedlite. And then a few different models all worked straight away, its baffling to me. I appreciate uou taking the time to show me that 👌

Yes, best investment I've ever made. I used to be loyal to big brands like nikon and sony, but these days, they're all made in China, so why pay for the brand name, when the quality is the same. This flash is several years old now and still works just as it did when it was new

There are two basic models. One for Sony and one for canon. Technically you can use them will any cameras but the hot shoe has a different set of pins and depending on the camera, you will be limited to some of the auto features. If you just want basic flash and control the settings from the flash, than it will work with any camera. I have a Sony set, so it reads the settings from the camera and can compensate the speed and output power. Also let's you shoot with high speed sync up to 8000 shutter speed.

Yes, the HSS only works with the transmitter. Some cameras have a built in transmitter and the flash will work, but for HSS, you need the same brand flash and transmitter

Yes I believe High Speed Sync is with a X1T-c/n/s only

I think I read that if you buy the dedicated Sony flash then it doesn't need the transmitter, but because these are off-brand, you need a transmitter and receiver for the data to transfer at those speeds
