wouldnt that damage the battery? similar if you use your phone charged. it decreases battery health capacity.

Dude what abt the rgb intensity? How bright is the it in rbg mode, in the distance of 1 m how much lux does it produce?can u compare the rgb with yongnou yn 360 iii or yongnou yn 300 iv

hey there, supernice and detailed review - thanks a lot for your effort!!! right now I'm struggling to decide whether to go with the forza- or the godox-ecosystem. one main advantage at forza I think, is that all their lights (pocked led, pavotubes, forza60b, forza 200, etc.) can be controlled with one single remote control (not rgb but at least the color-temps). do you know if the LC500R's remote control (rc-r9) is also capable to control other godox-lights shuch as the m1-pocketlight, the ml-60, and maybe other ones too? i think the godox non-bicolor LC500's remote (RC-A5) is compatible with quite a few other godox-lights, but I'm not shure wether it's capable of controlling the color-temperature at those other lights as well. it would be also nice to just get a universal-remote from a third-party manufacturer, but I think for 2.4 Ghz-standards such a solution is not possible :-/

Trying to decide between this and the Lume Cube Pro RGB. Can’t decide which is more versatile. The Lume wins for portability.

How do you turn off the LC500R remote? Remote keeps on draining the AAA batteries if I keep the light on for long periods when I have LC500R powered by adaptor. Dialing in specific numbers in RGB mode with remote doesn't seem to change the color. Any tips?

How does this compare to the TL60? Which would have higher output and what would you recommend for stills (rather than video)?

As with anything, the where is the big question. In a dark, indoor, completely controlled environment...sure. Outdoors in daylight, absolutely not.

Thanks for the reply Robert! yea thinking of this for indoor studio portraits or key/rim/fill at night/evening. Should be solid for that you think? Hahah and yea very few things will beat the sun outdoors. Maybe like an arri 10k or something haha

The brightness levels mentioned by Godox for LC500 is 1200 lux at 1 meter while for LC500R it's 5800 at 1 meter. That's a considerable difference, and you getting lesser output from the R version is just confusing if Godox is misleading with their specifications.

Using f-stops to measure continuous is strange. Normally use lux. Like f2 means nothing without knowing the distance, SS and ISO. I am assume a base ISO of 100 but shutter and distance? You don't mention it in the video and I can't find any info in your description.

Would be great to see a comparison between the TL60 and the LC500R. Why would you choose one over the other?

I would choose the TL60. More feature-rich, better app control, more modern design, better diffusion. The LC500R's benefits are...barndoors and price. Honestly, in hindsight, I don't understand why the LC500R was ever designed/released if they were already in the process of launching the TL60. With only a couple months in between them the LC500R just seems pointless, now.
