In 1973, at the age of 24, Tony Evans was contacted by a radio show producer from Houston (KHCB). This man had contacted Dallas Theological Seminary, where Tony was a junior in the Th.M. program, asking for great preaching content to put on his program for free. One of Tony’s professors recommended him. Thus began the public broadcasting of Dr. Tony Evans. Recorded in a tiny studio on the seminary campus, Tony spent the next few years faithfully preaching into a microphone for a crowd unseen in Houston.
Nearly a decade later, The Urban Alternative was formed in 1981 when requests for Dr. Evans’ sermons came in so frequently from his Houston and Dallas radio broadcasts that Mrs. Lois Evans, co-founder of the ministry, began fulfilling orders. Mrs. Evans used her business skills to organize, develop and expand the outreach and growth of the ministry.

This is such a powerful word. God is lifting you up higher, Pastor. Your come-back will be with a greater anointing than you have ever experienced. This is from someone who had not listened to many of your messages, but I see God lifting you up and placing your feet on higher ground. "Humbled for His Glory." Praise the Lord.

❤ Yes and we have to decide to be the difference maker and the chain breaker and to devote ourselves to the Lord and He will help us get on the right track if we truly want to please Him and we love our children, grandchildren and so on ❤
You a true man of God , you practice what you preach, may the God that you've served in your lifetime show you mercy and see you through this difficult time and come out more powerful than before, this generation needs you

This is why I'm glad that it's not man in their judgmental hypocrisy, grants forgiveness. How do you determine how forgiveness is granted and in what time frame it is granted, because I can recall that right there on the cross next to Jesus, that thief asking Jesus for forgiveness and He was forgiven at that moment ...God is merciful and gracious.....I'm sure none of us is without sin therefore it is not within our purview to cast judgment, we all deserve, death, hell and judgment but Jesus took it on for us. .the disciples walked with Jesus for three years and still weren't fully converted and Jesus never showed scorn or forced them to be converted before the appointed time because He knew what was inside of them and how things would have worked out....Romans 8: 28...says all things together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.... So all those persons who are criticizing the man of God....remember the words of Jesus Christ according to John 8:7...He who is without sin..
Tony Evans stepped down because of sin. They need to stop posting his old sermons till he's restored. Evangelist Roger Mansour
