Have you ever met someone that has a obvious gifting or call yet, they don’t see it?
If you have followed my ministry for very long you may know of my good friend Dan McCollam because he and I founded the School of the Prophets together over 16 years ago.
When I met Dan McCollam he did not consider himself a prophet even though it written all over him. This past week I sat down for a conversation with Dano and he explained to me that he counted himself out of being a prophet for so long because he had a preconceived idea of what a prophet was supposed to look like.
He had placed the role of a prophet in a box without realizing there are many different shapes and sizes in the call of a prophet; every prophet’s assignment and calling is unique.
Now Dano is an acknowledged prophet, teacher, and leader with a unique and diverse prophetic ministry scaling beyond the four walls of the Church that impacts society in very practical ways.
As Dano began to discover the unique prophetic calling that was on his life the Lord challenged him by asking him, “Dano, what would prophecy look like as a life skill and not just a ministry skill?” From that moment on he began to pursue ways that people can use the prophetic for non-Church-related needs. He has done this in a variety ways over the years - from partnering with worldwide artists to reach nations to the police and legal system to find missing children.
I am excited to share with the conversation I had with Dano. I believe it will answer many people’s questions about prophets, prophetic training, and the creative ways God speaks to us through the prophetic.

I tried for over 3 decades to find my place within the church. I have done every ministry there is. But it was in the workplace where God flourished my influence. By the time I retired, I was managing ALL financial operations for a Navy command at Pearl Harbor with a second office in Yokosuka Japan. God kept guiding my education simultaneously and I earned my doctorate with processes I improved and documented in my dissertation. So, like Joshua and Caleb, I am awaiting my next assignment.🤗👍🥳

Love this!!! Thanks guys 😊 As part of life skills, kris it would be amazing if you could give some advice on how to deal with unwanted attention as a person in ministry. I’m a worship leader & for years have dealt with lots of people who have formed attachments to me, people that want to give me strange ‘prophetic’ words, people that follow me to my car & absolutely creep me out. All of these people are single men with all sorts of mental issues (I am a married mother of 2 by the way, my husband is as astounded as I am!) As you would know very well, when you are on stage, people feel like they know you & come up to you thinking they have a right to just say & blurt the most bizarre slimy things. When I’m on stage worshipping, my walls are all the way down so I see, hear & feel what the Holy Spirit is doing, but then they have to come all the way back up again straight after worship for my own protection from the ‘moths’ that become drawn to the light. What is some advice you would give to someone like me lol

I might not be the person you would want the answers from. Some people will try to disfigure your calling and deceive you and other might want advice from you with a pure heart. You surely need some guidance, but people started coming towards you after what God has put inside of you being revealed publicly . God speaks by prophets, but test every spirit. Pray and be very vigilant. The devil only comes to still, kill and destroy.

Hey Kris, really thinking about attending SOP via online, since i am in Australia. How does this look like in terms of live group work and/or activations? Do the online guys get the same activation and real time peer-to-peer/ peer-to-educator opportunities? I am asking because the time zones are soo far off. Thanks
