He is telling you of a fairy tale dreamed up by ancient men who had aspirations of controlling the ignorant masses around them. Those who would presume to speak on behalf of the creator of the entire Universe are expressing the most profound arrogance, and not any sort of a direct pipeline to him.

The Bible tells us NO SUCH THING. David Jeremiah teaches error and will have to give an account for it. There is NO rapture of the church taught in Scripture. Let's us study IN CONTEXT the passages from which this false doctrine comes. We have all been deceived by teachers such as Jeremiah who should know better. This world needs another reformation in which the Church finally arrives at a BIBLICAL eschatology. These teachers like David Jeremiah might be true believers, but they have and are doing much harm to God's church through their inexcusable ERRORS. Study for yourselves and test such men just as the Bereans tested the teachings of Paul. Do not be blind followers.

What sort of God needs men to write books on his behalf? Answer: A false one. Any "God" (whatever that is) worthy of the title would be able to directly communicate with his own creations - should he feel any need to do so. Furthermore, any "God" worthy of the title would create the Universe in such a way that it is self-sufficent, not needing any maintenance or intervention on his part. And, if there is such a thing as an afterlife, it would not be conditioned upon proper belief or proper behavior. It would simply be natural for there to be an afterlife and we would all have it - or, none of us would. If I were inclined to believe in a "God" - and, I don't - the last people I would trust to tell me about him would be ancient, primitive barbarians from thousands of years ago. But, even if there is a "God," I don't care. I don't need to know anything about him, including whether or not he exists. I have faith that he will treat me fairly, whether I believe in him, or not. And, only an egotistical, narcissistic being unworthy of the title would require my belief or proper behavior - because, nothing I ever think, feel, believe, or do could ever harm him in any way. Anyone who tells you of a "judgment day" is using fear in order to coerce your belief. And, no one who would presume to speak for "God" is qualified to do so - including the authors of the Bible, and this guy.
