Sir David was indeed the very best of the best, an irreplaceable treasure gone from us now, but risen indeed in glory with the Lord. Amen.

As with Peter Pluim, I too prefer Britten’s remarkable arrangement.

GOD save the Queen in American soil concert.... It's proves that America and Great Britain are inseperably connected. America was founded under British tradition... It became independent nation after the revolution... And even after thee battle of 1812, America and Britain didn't cut their ties with/to each other.. till now the bonding and support with each other is manifesting in many different events and occasion... Political and military ties is tremendously amazing.......

It's a shame this skips so much as there aren't many recordings of Sir David's arrangement of the National Anthem after what happened between the Prince and Princess of Wales...RIP to a choral genius!

P.S. I wonder how many in the audience were thinking 'This sounds awfully similar to "My Country 'Tis of Thee"'?!

God Save Our Gracious Queen in an American church! America really should join The Commonwealth, as many Americans would enjoy...HA! Only Sir David could have done this so well. RIP Sir David for all you did for the Nation.

What beautiful words you spoke Hugo. Your words touched my heart. I have always liked very much the national anthem, 'God Save the Queen," because it represents a great people/nation--our best friends throughout history, not to mention that the present Queen Elizabeth II is one of the greatest monarchs ever to grace the English Throne. I only wish that I could have been present for this wonderful program for it was the very best.
