God's Ultimate Plan for the Universe

We know what we know about the world, and we’re told in the bible what we can apparently know (and NEED to know) about the nature of the world to come.
Is THIS really what the creator of the universe had in mind?
Is this what it’s all for?
If you accept Christian theology, then you have to believe that this is basically what it boils down to.

I have no doubt that the main criticism of this video will be that it takes an unsophisticated, simplistic, and fundamentalist approach to understanding Hell and the punishment of the unsaved.
Talk to the hand. The hand is holding up the book that contains this:
Matt 25:41 Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
Mark 9:48 “…to be cast into hell, where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched”
Revelation 14:10 “he will be tormented with fire and brimstone”
Matthew 13:50 “…and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth
Revelation 20:14-15 “This is the second death, the lake of fire. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire”
Revelation 20:10 “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are too, and they will be tormented there day and night forever and ever”
Luke 16:22-25 …And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue; for I am in agony in this flame.' But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony’.
Matthew 25:46 “And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
John 3:36 “The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath remains on him.”
Matthew 25:45-46 Then He will answer them, saying, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me. And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
Revelation 14:11 “the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever and they have no rest day and night”
Luke 10:15 And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will be thrown down to Hades!

I’ve had this video in mind since at least as far back as 2014. I’ve worked on it for minutes at a time every few months since then. Heaven and hell, for example, were drawn in 2016. I can’t believe that it’s actually complete. Whether anyone gets it or not is another matter.

For anyone still confused, the point is this: The idea that God's plan was to create an entire super-complex universe with life that loves and obeys him, meddle a few times, have it last for almost no time at all in the grand scheme of things, then blow it all up and put everyone in heaven and/or hell forever - is just ridiculous. This isn't a plan so much as it's a child throwing up on a piece of paper and calling it a map.

agreed, and then they(people subscribing to this so called "god") arrogantly throw threat to everyone else who doesn't believe in their so called "god", saying "you're going to hell", which is just equivalent to saying "you're going to a place I don't even know exist and you're going there because of not agreeing to me when my god should be the one to actually judge your worth and not me a human."

So even if you have loved ones who are burning in horiffic agony for eternity while you're in Heaven, you'll be willed to be happy and nothing else. You do or you don't. An omnipotent god would know if you're pretending. If you haven't given me evidence, then the best I can do is pretend I believe but according to scripture this dude knows I'm faking it. Why would he ask me to lie to him if he knows I'm lying? You can't force yourself to be something you are not. You want to change my mind, all the threats and promises in the world won't do that. If you made me, and you set the events of my life experiences in motion, then I guess I was doomed from the beginning to burn in hell forever. I never had a chance.

As a Christian, the topic has baffled my mind ever since I was a kid. Guess I'm still young but it stands as a dilemma that is nevertheless linked to the belief of Heaven and Hell. I sometimes think of the scenario as if I'm talking with God directly. Perhaps there have been times that I pray to Him and converse honestly. "Lord, it pains me to know that the majority will lie there... in Hell. You have said that the path to Heaven is narrow and the way to Hell is wide. The people I know, even the ones I don't know... I care for them, and honestly, I try to care for everyone... The unbelievers... Those who even do the worst of crimes that most can attest as evil as well. However, I know that everyone has been given a choice. There will be those who will not have heard the Gospel or the teachings of Christ. I acknowledge that You will judge justly as you are omnipotent and declare justice at the appointed time. As for those who follow Christ, we do not live by our own righteousness, but rather the righteousness of Christ himself. It isn't to say that we should fall back into this world though and what we have outlined as sin. I pray that many will turn and be saved from the old way that man has chosen. Through your name, Jesus Christ, amen." Everyone has a choice. There was, are, and will be those who have heard the Gospel clearly for its core message, the message of Christ. It is the message that he was beaten, ridiculed, and left bleeding on the cross. However, what is sometimes missed here is that he bore the sins of this world. My sins; your sins. Her sins; his sins. Their sins. The guilt, turmoil, and punishment from God was laid on Him. He rose though, beating death and sin. The only thing left is our repentance and acceptance of a gracious forgiveness. That is the choice. I suspect, however, considering that a majority of comments here take the perspectives of atheists, agnostics, and deists, many will hold feelings of indignance and anger at this message. To them, I'll say that it's also a choice to believe in Heaven and Hell. The belief or lack thereof doesn't prove its existence, but it will influence how you see morality and lead your life. To those who might disagree, I wish you the best and (doubtly concerning this context yet optimistic) hope my message has turned you to Christ or has at least allowed you to acknowledge Him. (A general overview) (And perhaps for the many asking for evidence, I look to the scriptures among other things. The ancient prophecies - their probabilities of fulfillment and unlikelihood - were fulfilled. (Some still awaiting fulfillment). You may argue about the content of these as well, but as some say, you see what you want to see (in attempt to be as objective as possible, this applies to both sides). I look to archeology of the ancient past, distinct correlations noted in few places while indicated in the Bible. The occurrence of life on Earth and specifically your and my life is an amazing thing. Although 1 of the significant number of the cosmos, the fact that it's us, here with nature's beauty, is something to be thankful for whatever belief you have. This is said of course, in specific regards to nature. For me at least, the occurrence of such is evidence. Some professionals relay that the sophistication of life is that of significant design. I also turn to the account of personal events and breakthroughs which for many, isn't evidence at all. For me... it is. To consider this for you however, when and if something positively supernatural happens to you, what will you see? For example, if Christ descends from Heaven as a sign for you, would you believe? Or, would it be marked simply as a hallucination of the mind? The core here though: to believe or not - is a choice. You can seek Him though. And with that, I wish you all peace. Peace be with all!

So many changes in approach across the years, so many ways to possibly depict this and that, so many choices, so many false-starts. I stripped back a lot of 'explanation' in favor of just visual representation... I guess I'm comparing the final product to a million different more-explicit and more-explanatory routes.

"Infinite punishment is infinite cruelty, endless injustice, immortal meanness. To worship an eternal prison warden hardens, debases, and pollutes even the vilest soul. While there is one sad or breaking heart in existence, no righteous being can be perfectly happy. Against the heartlessness of the Christian and Mohammedan [Muslim] religions every grand and tender soul should enter solemn protest. The god who created Hell should be held in loathing, contempt and scorn. A god who threatens eternal pain should be hated, not loved - cursed, not worshiped. A heaven presided over by such a god must be below the lowest hell. I want no part in any heaven in which the saved, ransomed and redeemed will drown with shouts of joy the cries and sobs of Hell - in which happiness will forget misery, where the tears of the lost only increase laughter and double bliss. The idea of hell was born of ignorance, brutality, fear, cowardice, and revenge. It only testifies that some of our ancestors were the lowest beasts. Only from dens, lairs, and caves, only from mouths filled with cruel fangs, only from hearts of fear and hatred, only from the conscience of hunger and lust for revenge, only from the lowest and most debased could come this cruel, callous and most bestial of all dogmas. I think, God needs EMPATHY. There will always be suffering in the world, as you've said. But I don't see why an atheist therapist should go suffer in hell for eternity, if he's the one helping these "broken" people, heal and change for the better and happier. Even prison themselves were intended to have people separated from society, to avoid further harm, and to have them repent, to think for however long at least? If such actions are from such emotions deemed evil, a god who doesn't really have a history/childhood of trauma has NO excuses. Leaning in therapy, what I've found helpful, is not to DEMONIZE people, but to see them as other human beings, capable of emotions, being hurt, and making mistakes. God and religion tend to demonize so instantly...

I've prayed on numerous times for God to change his mind like he did several times before in the Bible. When I hear people defend Hell, I'm conflicted because on one hand I understand the desire to be completely obedient to God, even if you believe his actions are psychotic and on the other hand, I get angry that someone is making an attempt to defend what I believe to be the indefensible.

Well that was depressing as fuck (And really well made, don't get me wrong, you ain't here just to make me happy.) As a kid in sunday school, weirdly Heaven used to really scare me. It was the fact that it was forever. I was confident I was going to heaven (I'd been baptized 3 times! It's called church-hopping) but what if I didn't like it? I had a very angry father, and I knew someday I'd grow up and move out, so it was OK. But heaven, especially when I would read about the flood, just sounded like being trapped forever with abusive angry dad. Thank you again for making these in general. I re-watched all your old videos recently when I just was so tired and sad inside and I could laugh for a while. The noah series in particular. I'm a huge animal lover, an as a kid I'd cry over the animals that drowned in the flood and then get really confused by why everyone on the boat was supposed to be happy (Like in the sunday school artwork). All I could think about was the dogs, cats, squirrels and birds that the bible said had no soul and no sin, but still had to drown because reasons. Thank you for making these in general. They make me laugh. Except this one. This one just makes me think, and that's not a bad thing.
