Pastor, there is a breakdown in family relationships amongst siblings and parents. Many people are without friendships and many have built no family of their own. Their companion pets have become their family, their friend and comforter. Praise God for that, that they have something. Yes it is ridiculous to you and to me that people are marrying their pets, leaving millions of dollars and their estates to their pets. That is the extreme to us. I agree, but the importance of animals are huge, and I believe our Father has given animals to us for many reasons. Not to be put before Him , but yes He has given us pets for multiple reasons and we should not scoff at that.
