God’s Non-Remembrance of Sin (Is
A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Lord's day morning October 22nd 1882.
Spurgeon shows us how irrational it would be to imagine that God would refuse to forgive a repentant sinner. He points out that God is omniscient, and therefore cannot absolutely forget sin; but does so judicially. Never will our sins be dredged up to humiliate or condemn us. The repentant sinner is forgiven forever! Praise God.

Our challenge is to focus on God. God said pertaining to the creation of man in the book of Genesis that what He did was very good but there's a problem now because unsaved people have a deceitful heart. Let's Study psalm 23 for in this psalm we learn that God can lead people in paths of righteousness. People need to acknowledge that they need the good shepherd, the Lord Jesus, to lead them in paths of righteousness.
We listen to one of these every night. Thank you for taking the time to make these!
Amen 🙏 Thank you for sharing this sermon. 😊
Amen and halleluYah 🙏 Glory to God in the Highest forever 🙏
Have been lo nging for this sermon for many years...

Calvin's is right in the depravity of man and election salvation is completely of God. That's why it is by grace thru faith so that the promise made to Abraham would be sure God gave his only begotten son to be the sacrifice. He certainly couldn't leave it up to man to keep it man couldn't. And no man thinks rightly of God till God enables him by giving him a new heart a new created spirit spirt so he can love God he writes them on his heart puts his holy spirit in the new born again man man is born physically alive spiritually dead
Unfortunately, CS succumbed to Calvinism.

@@DanielMotesSEO God sent His Son to redeem everyone from the sting of death caused by sin... not just a special favored elect few. That would give the Devil more souls/a greater victory. All CAN call upon Jesus for salvation. "Individuals are born doomed from the womb to a certain death and are to glorify Him by their destruction" John Calvin Compare to Jesus in Luke 9:56, John 12:46-47, John 3:17, John 12:31, John 16:11 & Genesis 3:14-15, Hebrews 2:14, 1 Corinthians 15:54-57, 1 John 3:8, Hebrews 2:9, Titus 2:11, 1 Timothy 2:4-6. I hope you meet some ex-Calvinists. Like ex-Catholics, ex-Calvinists make great apologists for biblical soteriology & against the false gospel of Calvinism.

I usually do not reply to messages, as it causes unnecessary arguments the does not lead to edification or the spreading of the gospel. However, I believe that you are in the wrong for criticism of man used by God for the salvations of souls that continues even to this day. John 3:16 does state that God loves the world, that he gave his only begotten son, yes. It finishes by stating that only whosoever believes in Him Should not perish but have eternal life. It does not say that the whole world will be saved. There are many other references within scriptures that lead to this thought of limited atonement. Rather than arguing amongst ourselves on what we think is right, or holding up a denominational banner, we should turn our passions to the lost and dying world around us. I will not try to persuade you or throw shade on your opinions, but rather let the gospel stand for itself, because he that is convinced against his will is of the same opinion still. May God bless you in your service to him and use you, if it be his will, to the saving of sinners

@@paladinproductions881Yes, let's be salt & light to this crazy world. I pray we both hear "well done good faithful & servants". That said, I hope you take a good look at the scriptures I listed. If you don't believe everyone CAN be saved...we don't believe the same gospel.

@@mikelyons2831 I don't disagree with that, the offer of free pardon is to all. What Calvin said, back by scripture, is that not everyone will be saved. Our job as ministers and servants of the kingdom is not to know which is which, but to teach to every person as if they were. It is the place of the King to know the chaff from the wheat, the goats from the sheep, and to separate them on the day of judgement. We are to share the good news. This is what Spurgeon did. It is what Calvin did. It is what preachers who both agree and disagree with them did and do today. Not all will be saved because the scripture itself says there are some vessels fitted for destruction (Rom 9:22). There are some that no matter how moving the message, no matter how many others are saved by Christ before their eyes, they will never believe. It is a painful realization to a preacher ( I am one) that not every soul we preach to will be saved. But still we preach to them for the hope that they might be. Only the Lord knows them that are his.
