People don’t like armor abilities and bloom, those two are what make me not like reach as much as I should. Personal preference though.

One of the best campaigns

So many good memories on Halo 2. I remember playing and trying to super bounce around the maps (especially the bounce on Zanzibar) You could cancel sword lunge to get out the maps and they even had proximity chat with the enemy team in game. You'd be in the enemy base pulling flag and hearing the enemies call outs etc. Shit was so intense. Gotta be S Tier

I'm with Brad when it comes to H2. That game was literal perfection in every way. Even the creation of games like Zombies and Tower of Power made customs legendary. Super bounces that worked in matchmaking were hilarious too. Nothing like bouncing to the top of one of the towers on Ascension and just slaughtering people with the sniper. BxR and Doubleshot glitches as well that actually took skill to execute. Maps like Lockout/Midship/Ivory Tower, and the list goes on. The 50 rank system with the symbols, pre/post game lobbies, and then the modders haha, even the hackers made that game hilarious. I remember someone had their rocket launcher shooting golden penises and 10 year old me couldn't stop laughing. I put Halo 2 in a league of it's own, way above Halo 3 in my opinion, though H3 was definitely the second best game in the franchise.

I still think that it’s mostly nostalgia that makes Halo 2 and Halo: CE great in peoples eyes. You go back and play them now on MCC, they aren’t nearly as fun. You die so easily off of spawn in Halo CE at times with long seeming respawn times.

I’ve never seen such disrespect for ODST in my life. The only person that defended it was Lucid. Very upset. This game as a whole was amazing, it might be my favorite game of all time. Edit: Omg it gets worse, reach was one of the funnest games ever. Wow maybe I’m just an outlier. Also great video

Nah. Only people’s whos first Halo was Reach don’t see the flaws. Bad sandbox, bad MP decisions, campaign is average (for Halo), art style was hit or miss

Lucid is totally right about odst. Yes no MP, but that game was made with an already completed engine. Joe staten and co just had to focus on the story during the entire development cycle and thats why it is one of the best stories in halo. Combat is fun as hell, being on the h3 engine… Stellar story and soundtrack, and another sidestory spinoff game is needed in halo (just dont let 343 do it xD) Also agree with him for reach. It had everything halo 3 had and even more. Challenges and progression in every game mode too. Just comp is where it left a bad taste but as a casual fan, reach is the pinnacle of the overall halo experience in terms of content. H3 is still my fav :) S+ for sure and in the current state of infinite it should definitely be C or D tier. Beside what everyone else talks about, i think the Campaign gameplay and storytelling is mediocre

Glad I’m not the only one who thought this. Custom games were such a blast too. Forge island really allowed is to open our minds and get crazy creative. These guys think from a competitive aspect too much rather than everything the game has to offer, which is warranted i guess. I also loved ODST but it wasn’t worth the 60 bucks because the lack of content. It was sick to view the halo world from a different perspective though

Halo 3 was peak halo nothing comes close but as bot who liked to grind causal, Reach is goated in multiplayer. Never got old. Probably could chalk it up to my age at the time but nothing has come close to the fun I had in multiple on Reach. It changed halo multiple forever. and it’s forge mode was top tier. I'm over 40 and imo H2 > h5 > h3 > halo CE > infinite. You have to understand that Halo 3 was just like a halo 2.5 kinda game considering the campaign was continued and theatre was cut from 2, only with better next gen graphics.

i like it when formal is more outspoken and more "uppity" i guess. for example i liked how he started the video off. just a well spoken sincere guy, saw him at raleigh and all i could do was just walk past him and say "sup" with a headnod, even tho hes human i got worked up and thats all i mangaed to do lmaoooo

@@tyice8730 I used to avidly visit the Bungie forums back in the Reach days, most of what people complained was a lack of a comp Rank like in H3, armor abilities mostly armor lock in regular slayer and bloom. Personally I was to young to care for anything competitive but Reach is still my favorite of the series for the custom games experience.

Its early days were dark for comp and started the decline of halo. By the time it was saved it was pretty late, which the trend continued like that for every release after that.

It’s so weird to me but I guess i understand it. I played the campaign the night it released… none of these pros have even touched it. Snipedown is the only one I know of and that was because matchmaking was down.

Tbh H4 was the halo I played an insane amount as well as reach because that’s the age I just started gaming so they’re both close to my heart but halo 3 is amazing I played a bit of 2 as well

I dont agree with halo 4 being in the D tier. Halo 4's story was actually pretty good. The dynamic between cortana and chief was amazing and the ending kinda broke me. Cant say much about the mutiplayer because i didn't play it alot. Still a solid game. Halo 5 is much worse imo

i swear h4 (343) was copying CODs homework on h4. the story is a halo story, but the way the campaign missions play out in terms of gameplay, theres a lot of parallels to previous COD games.

Super disappointed that 343 still hasn’t implemented file share after Halo 3. That feature was so goated. I remember at one point people shared actual porn on there. Then people started making inappropriate images out of different weapons 😭 Being able to just download other people’s gameplay and just having the most stupid screenshots. Halo 3 was so ahead of the game.

Infinite will be S tier in 2 years. The core mechanics are A tier.
