From a God of War to a God of Hope, the journey is complete. Interesting little tidbit, the first god Kratos fought and defeated was a god of war, and the last god Kratos fought and 'defeated' was a god of war. Fighting Ares drove him down a dark path, but fighting Tyr drove him down a good one

34:28...the moment it dawned on Kratos what Faye drew of him and what the Norns kept repeating about his fate were true. This shit was epic to me. They only ever kept addressing "Kratos of Sparta will die" or "Ghost of Sparta will die", but never just "Kratos, you will die". And that goes in hand with pretty much everything both new games are about; Kratos being different than the Ghost of Sparta, his dialogues with Thor about "being better", etc. Kratos giving it to the Ghost of Sparta here is kinda like a completion of his journey 💪🏾

I love the stories and conversations in this DLC! The whole game series actually including the old ones! The monologue Christopher Judge did as Kratos at the end was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The emotion in his voice, the conviction, the anger, the hope. You can feel it all and you believe it! The only slight nitpick as far as the story goes is that I wish they got the old voice actor to have a conversation with him at the end. That woulda made it epic! I think thats what everyone wanted though. Now I wanna know where they can go from here. It may be the conclusion for the Norse Pantheon, but its not the conclusion to others and its not the conclusion to Kratos just yet. This has been an epic journey to rewatch the games with you guys! I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I have. P.S. Kratos is taking the position of the Norse God of War and Tyr is pretty much stepping down. They talked about it in one of the earlier parts. I guess Tyr thinks its better that Kratos should be God of War since Tyr's been locked away from the role for so long and Kratos is a more relevant and recognized figure at the moment. I also don't think Freya was asking him to become the God of War for another realm.😂 I think its also fair to mention that Helios technically attacked Kratos first so he wasn't innocent. I know the DLC is making it seem like Kratos in his blind rage killed Helios, but If you played the games, then you know Kratos was in a way kind of in the right to do what he did to Helios. Helios didn't really have to die though. Kratos asked him for help, and Helios being the smug and arrogant god he is, chose to try and trick then attack Kratos. And we all know Kratos don't take that lightly at all and mercy is rarely an option.

They could have Rome invade Greece and have the Roman Pantheon replace the previous one, seeming as they're carbon copies with few differences. Have Athena be the villain manipulating the new gods. And they could put a twist on them too. Ares was a villainous war god, Mars could be one that fights for Peace etc

For reference, Mimir said he was from the islands to the north. Probably the British Isles. He claimed he went by Robin back then, and ran with a bunch of Fae called the Goodfellows, and served a Faerie King, who he names in Valhalla as Oberon. The Norns also called him Puck, and referenced him serving Titania. This all references William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" where a bunch of mortals get lost in an enchanted wood, and shenanigans ensue. (Such as people being entranced to fall madly in love, and a mortal named Nicholas Bottom being turned in to a Donkey. Yes, even Shakespeare was not above making people the butt of jokes.) In the play, Oberon and Titania were the Faerie King and Queen, and there is a little sprite, often depicted with goat horns, who is the mischevious servant of the King, who goes by Robin Goodfellow, or Puck. Valhalla seems to be sending him back to that one Midsummer Night, when questions on what it means to love another were explored. The love between the mortals, love triangles, unrequited love, the love between Oberon and Titania, and what happens when you play around with it.

Also the first weapon Tyr used was from meso american mythology, not sure how to spell the name of it but its basically a large wooden club with sharpened obsidian stone embeded in it, second was kopesh from Egypt and the last one was either a katana or a tachi from japan, meaning that there could be a chance where kratos will visit those mythologies... tho i would like to see Kratos visiting Slavic mythology and interacting with Perun, the slavic thundergod.

One thing people forget about Kratos is that his rage and ambition all started from the moment Ares and Athena took Deimos from him when they were children. Of course that doesn't excuse his actions but it is worth considering. It is possible that if that didn't happen, things could have been different for Kratos. This was before his service to Ares, his service to the gods and the killing of the boat captain.

It's now crystal clear that if there is another pantheon/mythology, it will be atreus's journey as he is on a quest to find the remaining giants who have escaped the norse realm. If that is the case, they better make atreus look cool, has good gameplay and likeable as a character as I didn't like him too much to be honest.

When they showed that at 3:03 and Týr said, "I'd somehow doubted, they meant it so literally." I was like "Yeah they meant it very literally." And i feel like Týr was slightly annoyed with Helios."Aaaaaand he's back." This DLC has been a very interesting and unusual experience in a good way, Týr has been an interesting person cause he doesn't see Kratos as the killer people probably told him in Greece and yeah Valhalla is challenging Kratos assumptions about everything in the 1000 years he's been alive as long Kratos knows who he is and why he sereves like Týr said "The throne, the office is only what you bring to it." And if you were confused on what Helios was talking about at 7:20, take a look at God of War Origins: Chains of Olympus. i think they also talk about it here, too. The artifact that Kratos picks up at 8:10 is Helios's Shield. 9:27 Kratos vs Týr Round 3 This one gave me some trouble because i lost a couple of times his weapons look Egyptian. That whole darkness thing was actually, and staying in the circle really limited how you could fight týr but i was able win. This is a greuling process Listening to Eir and Gunnr was very interesting. One was a fighter, and the other was a healer Here's what I didn't understand they'd tasked Kratos to stop Ares, and when he opened Pandora's Box, he had the power of hope while the evils that was born from the great war went to the gods and that really started the "Blame game" like y'all tasked him to stop Ares. What was crazy was that he tried to save Pandora but had to sacrifice her to open the box, and still to this i believe if Hephaestus had told Zeus the truth, he wouldn't be where was. 28:24 Kratos vs Týr Round 4 This one got tricky becasue he was making clones of himself and for somereason him spawning enemies was annoying and i kept trying different things it was working at first until it wasn't and i failed 4 times and at that i could speed run then entire gaunlet of enemies but it was týr that was the problem he really did keep it interesting and i finally be him. Again this DLC has an amazing experience and this DLC IS FREE and it even created the age-old question: If you were able to talk to your younger self for a few minutes what would say to him/her? And that's what happened at 32:58, i truly love this character development from kratos because he knows that there is no forgiving himself because everything happened in Greece he was cruel, arrogant, and selfish but he also knew that he is more than other people saw in him and certain people around saw that he was more that anybody saw too Freya, Atreus, Mimir, and Laufaye. And i love how you hear O.G God of War music then the soft music from now is blending in when he finally sat on the throne. This is excellent storytelling all the way from the Greece saga to the Norse saga. This one the best stories personally the character development loved it the storytelling loved every minute of it. And personally i feel everyone is worthy of redemption like sure you don't deserve it but damnit you can earn one and Kratos has earned his redemption.

It’s been a very long journey, but Kratos’s story is a grand epic tale of a vengeful monster to a God of War that fights for hope. And despite the grand way this story has played out, some people still wished Kratos would have reverted to his old angry self at one point. But I feel like they’ve made too much progress on Kratos as a character to just do him dirty like that. But what about you guys? During any point during or after the 2018 game, did you wish that Kratos would have gone on a god-killing rampage again?

I love that the ending of this DLC is purely a Greek soliloquy. Just him airing his grievances and ideas with himself no matter who was present. Glad they chose this and Christopher Judge chose not to voice young Kratos. I wish they had brought TC back to have the two talk to each other

I believe Kratos could start traveling to other pantheons the way Tyr did. Perhaps this could help him be even more wise or even bring his new found wisdom to gods from different realms. He could also bring hope to the people of these realms if they are being mistreated by their gods.

He did pass the torch to Kratos as his title of God of war in Norse and Kratos will be in the council so I don't think he will be out exploring the other mythos expect for loki (his son) cause he still want to look for the other giants. But it's my thoughts I don't know how they going to push out the next game

I think it a bit unfair of Helios to be so bitter over his death. The guy did try to lie to Kratos about the flames of Olympus, and lead him to his death.

Big opportunity missed to have us fight ourselves. I would have wanted this fight to be the most difficult in the game. Thematically that would have made the most sense to me, but I get it this was just a DLC. A free one at that, so I understand them not doing that.

so hopefully all of you viewers take a look at the people that you do not trust, people that you think are monsters and cruel and hateful and violent and abusive, and you remember the lesson that is taught here today, they are more than that. they are in pain. love and light, is the key. do not let your selves down by withholding love , thinking that you are justified, because that is your ignorance and hubris, your ego, you know nothing of the struggles of those who have been turned to darkness. you should all get over your selves. your own understanding of reality . your understanding of righteousness and justice.

God of the sun Helios was taken captive by hades wife Persephone and the Titan atlas to destroy the pillar that holds the world. Since Helios wasnt there to keep the night at bay Morpheus took over. He had nothing to do with the kidnapping of Helios. He just took over the sky since Helios wasn’t there to bring balance.
