This game was the second time I preordered a game ever, and by God was I not disappointed. It drew me in from minute one and I couldn't put it down for a month. Only reason I did was because the mid-year school break was over and even then, on weekends I still grab it like a deprived addict grabs a syringe. The only real issue I've had were the killcams/finishers/whatever; since there's only one per enemy type, it becomes incredibly noticeable once you take on Muspelheim. To anyone who complains about the combat with Leviathan: git gud, you fucking scrub. It's one of the most satisfying weapons I've ever had the pleasure to use in a game.

PlayStation owner: So many games which one should I play first. Xbox owner: Hmm Netflix or Hulu today.

As a question, for someone that hasn't played any of the God of War games, would I understand what is going on with the story? Or would I have to do some research before hand. (Mainly asking cause IDK I have the time to do the research, but am hopeful they can fill in enough of the past experiences to keep me interested in the lore while also understanding whats happening with the main plot.)

im a movie nerd and the fact that the game and cut scenes are seamlessly woven together in ONE TAKE is just heavenly for me. That ALONE sells the game at 60 bucks for the next 10 years.

Not denying that it isn't a good game, but it doesn't help the case of the game when the fans are some of the worst human beings. The GameSpot reviewer got a lot of hate because he didn't give it a 10/10. After beating it, it is a solid 8 for me. The combat didn't feel satisfying until later on (when you get something) and it was a struggle until that point. Not to mention the side missions we're absolutely boring. The game also had a length problem, I felt it was way too long, especially for how much time in the main story it cuts to a cutscene. Can't deny that the story was fantastic though a little cliche and disappointing (the bosses). Recycled bosses were also a problem. EDIT: Thought I read somewhere that the Game Director said something to someone about giving it a low score.

That's what happens when a console maker trusts their first party studio.

The plot is about Kratos, long after the end of God of War III, trying to lay low with an assumed identity while the cops look for the guy that killed fucking EVERYONE.

Omg.... I just realized you had less then 500k subs. I always thought you had a few million and you deserved that many plus more. Wish i could support you more but I'm trying to save every cent for collage next year

How was difficulty curve on medium? Should incredibly experienced but not masochistic gamers start there or hard? (I am aware of on the fly difficulty changing but I hate that concept more than anything... If I have to bump it down to normal mid game, I might as well just plug in a cheat code, if i plug in a cheat code I might as well have the game play itself, if the game plays itself I might as well just go trade it in... that was a deep dive into my brain with that particular option, sorry)

Gus V Exactly. The very very fine line between artificial difficulty and rewarding difficulty. Like bump up a Call of Dutys diffuclty setting on your first go and I often find that harder than any of the Souls series and that is because COD goes more for that artificial, unfair kind of difficulty that I dislike.

Ps4 is the only choice this generation. I almost bought the Xbox but I’m so glad I went with this.

this game is just breathtaking. it reminds me of the connection of Ellie and Joel from the last of us,.... but in a more fiery, mythical era. Perfect. the combat is amazing, the graphics (even on 1080p performance mode) is out-f*cking-standing! the story, the cutscenes, everything... literally. I cannot find ANYTHING wrong with this game! this is the game us players deserve. great job to the studio and team that made this gem possible.

Only thing I would fix is adding a bit more content after the game is completed. I feel like it's kinda over once the Valkyries are defeated. Other than that, it's one of my favourite games!

These are by far the best game reviews. When I watch IGN and GameSpot reviews I feel like they are afraid of giving big game publishers bad reviews. But more to the point, they give games number scores. This tells me nothing about the game. I like the premise of Buy/Sale/Rent/Never Touch. I hope your channel propers. Thanks for the quality writing and long-form reviews.

The pros and cons at the end was a nice surprise.. I can’t wait for this game. Seriously, one of my most hyped games of the last 5 years

Yep, GOW, The Last Of Us remastered and Shadow Of Collosus all make it very hard not to give Sony my money. Sadly there are only about a handful of games that I would like to play on the Playstation, so it basically comes down to about 700 Euros for those games and the console, which is affordable, but if I break it down, just to expansive for the amount of fun I will get out of it. Still too many good PC games I have not played,yet. (If you have a good job, you got all the money you need, but no time for games...the irony ;)

I wish companies would stop titling these soft series reboots the exact same thing the original title was, it makes it so difficult to look up the old game with that title after the new one comes out.

Just add the number one in front of it. For example, "God of War 1". I know its a bit annoying but that's how I avoid that problem.

Your reviews are always so thorough. Please never change your formatting. I watch IGN or GameSpot to see if games are playable. I watch ACG and WorthABuy to judge whether I'm actually going to invest in a game. And most of my recent games I've gotten from your recommendations and I have yet to be disappointed
