I don't think people understand how sad kratos past is not only did he lose his mother and his brother and his brother Andy lost his 1st wife and child putting so much stress on him Not only that but serving 10 years for the gods to try to get rid of his nightmares only to be haunted for those years And finally after destroying the whole Greek world to start a new life all over again a wife he can love and a child he can teach For him to say sorry I can finally see kratos changing into a better man And to finally be happy for once

Nowadays I feel like the only reason Kratos kills gods and very powerful foes is because they threaten Atreus. Kratos was going to spare heimdall until he mentioned he was going to hit Atreus. When he was fighting Thor, he didn’t activate spartan rage until he mentioned that the person kratos both fears and hated the most had “Plans” for Atreus
