I thought that this would be important information to share. 35% of all ocean microplastics come from clothing/textiles, mostly polyester, but also acrylic and nylon as well. This is largely due to clothes made of these materials being washed, which causes these clothes to quickly erode, with the microplastic fibers entering the water system and eventually the sea. Ocean Hero is a great search engine that we can use to help clean up larger plastics before they disintegrate into microplastics.

Phil Cho's art rendition on Odin has the mafia boss vibe, but it's depicted in a way that establishes him as the King of his Pantheon instead of looking like a LARP player). As for the muscle approach, I'm not suggesting that Odin should be extremely ripped. Rather, his build could at least be comparable to the elderly yet formidable masters from the Avatar universe (ex. King Bumi has muscles, but is not too bulky).

Heimdal can see that Odin's intention is to gain knowledge and stop Ragnarok, but he's been convinced by Odin that is for all of Asgard, but Odin really just wants to stay in power, in control, and knowledge is his way of getting that.

Odin is definitely a different king of the gods than Zeus. Odin's greatest strength is his intelligence. He's as clever as Mimir always said, and was clearly smarter than Zeus ever was. Therein lies Odin's greatest weakness, which led to his undoing: his obsession with knowledge. While Zeus had his lust for power which led to his downfall, Odin was undone by his lust for knowledge. Odin was an impressive villain from start to finish. Odin pretty much came across as a mafia boss when he arrived offering a truce to Kratos and inviting Atreus to Asgard. When Atreus did eventually go to Asgard, Odin easily won Atreus over by being the most devious type of villain, a villain that pretends to be misunderstood. It also helped that Odin's obsession with gaining knowledge paralleled with Atreus' need to find out answers about "Loki" and trying to change his father's fate. Odin is also shown to be pschologically abusive to Thor, for the possible death of Thor's mother Fjorgyn, who Odin loved and was negatively affected by her death. Odin seems to barely care about his own family outside of how they can benefit him. Odin would even punish those in his family who crossed him, like Tyr. I was genuinely surprised and disappointed that Odin disguised himself as Tyr, but considering that Odin fooled everyone, including those who personally knew Tyr, it shows that Odin thoroughly studied Tyr, at least enough to fool those who knew him. Fortunately, Tyr was alive, but Odin was still a horrible father to his sons, and a bad grandfather to Thrud. Odin ended up killing Thor, just for standing up to him. Odin was indeed more powerful than Thor, but that had nothing to do with him killing Thor. If Odin had just gotten over his obsession with knowledge, and tried to be better, he might have lived, and Asgard wouldn't have had to be destroyed by Ragnarok. Odin's worst deed was killing Brok, which ultimately started his downward spiral to defeat.

I would like to believe this insanity and obsession he has with knowledge and control came to him after Thor's mother passed away. It's obvious he loved her like no other and he always makes a point of talking about avoiding pain or bringing back those loved ones they lost whenever he speaks to Atreus. Shit i wouldn't put it past him to blame Thor for her death that's why he treats him the worst of all his children and made him live a life filled with contradictions as the half-giant who kills his own kin. Alternatively, witnessing her death made him aware of his own fragility and how the only thing he has no control over is how life ends; thus he tries everything in the books to avoid his own death, not realizing he's one of many fools who will land directly into their own fate by trying to avoid it.

Don’t get me wrong they were well worthy of praise, but there is something that to me is so captivating about Richard Schiff’s performance as Odin. I was fascinated every time he was on the screen. His motivation was so interesting. Like, he didn’t want domination or power or sex. He just wanted to know the answers to the big questions and he was ready to sacrifice his own family to satisfy his desire for the unknown. I loved it. For me, personally, he made the game. Zeus was just an A-hole. Odin was an A-hole, but I understood why.

He is incredibly abusive and manipulative with all of his associates and values others only in so far as he can use them .His sons are also analogous to Sidious apprentices: Darth Vader/Thor are extremely large, physically strong, debatably the best fighter at their leaders disposal and are conflicted people that die trying to be better for their children. ( also end up killed by their master for trying to escape the cyclist of abuse) Dooku/Heimdall are well dressed, are skilled swordsmen, posses a plethora of mystic powers, and were loyal servants to a master that had little appreciation for their abilities. Darth Maul/ Baldur have cool tattoos, are skilled trackers, have a complicated relationship with their mother, are master hand to hand fighters , and are sympathetic despite their horrible actions. All of these individuals were viewed as useful chess pieces their leader and valued only by their utility. Once one died their master was only frustrated for a moment at being Inconvenienced and moved on.

The scary thing is that there are people like Odin out there. Abusive narcissists that treat the people around them, even their own family, as means to an end. And in my opinion, just like how Odin died, they need to be dismantled and rid of.

Some of odins scenes really make you ponder. In the end you have to sit and wonder if the eihnarjar truly did have freedom or not. We literaply watch odin touch these people and give them back their identity literally. And mimir literally implies his bias is what leads him to believe that Odins doing worse than just that- then you beat the game and these guys are aimlessly walking around, proving Mimirs point. One theory of how Norse Berserkers achieved the Berserk state is that they would drink a mixture of mead steaped with fly agaric mushrooms, thus becoming seemingly impervious to damage, the only way to put one down was to burn them or destroy their joints, otherwise they just rose back up, and they supposedly could cleave off a horse's head with a single swing of a sword. However in the mythology? The Berserk state is a gift. From *Odin.* Even the name "Odin" translates to "The Mad One", and in Old Norse "mad" has the same double-connoctation of "angry" and "insane".

The others questions would be interesting for odin: If asgard has a prison? What happened to Thor's mother since the original Norse Mythology the son killed his own mother And if Odin had others wives.. If Odin and Thor have pets as in Norse Mythology original Freya had several others animals,Thor her goats and Odin have a horse 8 paws who is one of Loki's children Where is Valhalla or Sessrumnir and is there a way to get there or did a god go there... Others questions: What is the true origin of how Odin lost his eye in Mimir's well or the portal If Baldur,Magni and Modi among others death Gods can come back to life and why haven't they come back yet? If Odin has a room Inside the hall like the others rooms and it would be a funny line for Atreus/Loki to say that he thought Asgard was different, much bigger and made of gold like Odin's palace Questions for Thor with his family trying to make happy him and if Thor met Atreus mother or what it was like for him to fight Against Kratos and what he thought of the fight A curiosity here: Thor in Norse Mythology has gloves and a utility belt that makes him much stronger. Heimdall being the son of 9 mothers like in the original Norse Mythology it would be nice for Odin to mention that And also Freya has 5 priestesses like Athena with her allies who prayed to her in Greek Mythology. Freya's Priestesses They are: Sjofn,Vjofn,Lofn,Syn and Snotra I missed those questions and dialogues for Odin that Atreus And also for Thor was going to make a shame it didn't happen,Too bad he didn't ask these questions 🥲😔 like and Bye!

It's ironic that in GOW, the most consistent theme among the top gods is paranoia and the need to escape fate, perceived or real. For all their power, they constantly feel the need to look behind their backs. Zeus was paranoid, of course due to corruption by Pandora's box as well, despite being the most powerful Olympian and he engineered his downfall by antagonizing Kratos throughout as he belived that it was fate that Kratos would fell him as he did with his father. We see the same with an extremely paranoid Odin who also engineered the downfall of his family and himself in order to escape fate.

I swear that the people who are clowning against those who dislike Santa Monica Studios' take on the Norse pantheon for valid reasons probably never heard of Record of Ragnarok, Yugioh, and the bloody illustrations of Arthur Rackham on the Ring Cycle.

I don't think Odin did anything wrong in either game besides the stories we hear. It's his mask, and it's his rift inside his home. Thor was coerced by his wife to attack a little boy, but Atreus should've returned Odin's property.

I don't think he really does enough bad stuff. He's the big villain and he only kills Brok after they've killed a bunch of his family and thor after he refuses orders. 2 people in war situations and thats it. His treatment of Freya is probably the worse.

I have a theory that Odin is also Mimir in disguise and has always been manipulating everything from the beginning and within the game there are clues to this and it would be pretty crazy since 2018 he has been with us forever And the real Mimir is in Asgard or somewhere Stuck in a tree A great Villain,I hope he And the others dead Gods returns in the next game or DLC Of history to finish the Norse saga Odin in original Norse Mythology has 12 childrens and 11 grandchildren Are they Odin's childrens: Baldur,Thor,Tyr,Hermod,Heimdall,Hoder,Vali,Vidar,Bragi,Njord,Meili And finally Loki And Odin's Grandchildren are: Hoder Even though he is a son of Odin and is also a Grandson because he is Freya's son with another man,so After the death and disappearance of Freya's other husband,Odin married with Freya and adopted Hoder Like your own son as well as a Grandson,Others Grandchildren of Odin are: Forseti son of Baldur,Uller the adventurous God Who is Sif's son before she married Thor, she was with another man and had a son And Odin adopted him too and finally the 4 Beasts Sons of Loki and the 4 Sons of Thor This is all Odin's family UwU The Extra detail: Odin has two brothers Vili & Vê who have been with him since the beginning of everything and helped Odin kill Ymir, his grandfather the first giant but I think that in the God of war universe Odin killed them after their death of Ymir And To close the Valkyries are also of consideration they are also the daughters of the all father too 😌😁👍like and Bye!

While an enjoyable villain, Odin's overall plan is as convoluted as it's ultimately aimless. What did he think he could gain from posing as Týr besides fooling them ? Even if I didn't know about the twist, his characterization was so mismatched with how 2018 portrayed Týr that in Ragnarok it felt like he was cursed or brainwashed. Secondly, a personal disappointment is how small the cast of Aesir gods was. Vidar and Vali should have been featured as bosses, seeking to avenge Baldur. And his son, Forseti, should have played an active role than just be a namedrop. Then again, the whole game feels like they mashed two stories into one and rushed it.
