Yo, at 0:31 was that intentional? Seems like you just swapped to the spear and somehow it pulled them backwards? I don't see any strange inputs on controller visualization and I've only seen that done with the leviathan roar runic cancel

There is no leviathan roar involved in the 31 seconds mark. It’s just when you try to runic cancel with the blades and throw the blades to catch the ennemie I press down D-Pad and Attack with the spear. Sometimes it drags them backwards sometimes no. Mostly comes down to timing

Very cool but they need to optimize the game. The move cancelling is leading to overlapping moves which look weird. It's something that is not supposed to happen. But I doubt any change is gonna happen since they are too busy jerking themselves off to the story.

That is why it’s cool, it’s not supposed to be there and it does not need to be fixed cause no normal player will encounter this overlapping unless you do it intentionally, so it’s good for both players that play normally and players who like cancelling, if they remove the overlapping it would look normal, plus it would be impossible since if they fix the overlapping they need to add an additional hand and leg for Kratos for cancelling to work, or it will look as basic as other normal moves. Idk if you get what i am saying.

@@Soh23 let me explain like this. I'm not asking them to specifically remove this but rather to add a way to have mad combos without breaking the characters. Like how they had in 2018. But the game has no real cancels, quick swapping or transition moves. They have great potential with the triangle move's final upgrade where it charges the max if timed right but the timing is just a bit too slow which causes the entire flow to break. Even fixing just that would make the game completely new since that will act as a connector in combos.

@@gurnoorsekhon6402 God of war franchise never have a cancellation moveset you aren’t supposed to canceled the moves of course players finding ways to move canceled which was way more flashy but you cant find what you’re looking for if the game is not designed that way. You’re asking for is pretty much they overhaul the combat system And I disagree about god of war never have quick swapping and transition moves i pretty much do fine swapping between the axe the blade and the spear and i never cancelled any of my moves. You just need the right moveset between swapping.Its easier to swap weapons if the enemy is juggle in air

@@sakuragi1062 by cancel I don't mean animation cancel. I mean input cancel. Meaning I should be able to dodge out of an attack animation at least in the beginning in case I see an attack coming. And FYI, this existed in God of war 2018. It doesn't exist in Ragnarok. Because of which the heavy finisher for the blades in Ragnarok is nearly unusable. Also, 2018 had quick swapping whereas in Ragnarok if not glitching, you need to wait for other actions to completely stop to change your weapon. This has immensely reduced the speed even compared to 2018. Also, the final upgrade of triangle has a timing input but the timing is so late that you need to stop doing anything for half a second to get it. It's clearly visible that they focused 10x more on the level visuals than at gameplay.

Like, half of the Leviathan attacks are happening without the axe even being in the hand. He's just attacking with an invisible weapon. No disrespect to the creator. This is a problem with the game itself. Compare this to combos from 2018 and they are still amazing but doesn't look like something that's not supposed to happen

That is why it’s cool, and it is not accessible for anyone, u can play normally and this glitches won’t happen cause it need veeery specific inputs, why remove it if it bothers no one ? Both type of players have the choice to play whatever they like with no issue, if someone doesn’t like it don’t do it 😂
