God of War Ragnarök | Kratos talks about his past to Freya and Mimir |
Ойындар
Kratos shares about his life in Sparta, about his wife and daughter and how he defeated sisters of fate and overcame death to defeat Zeus.
Taking place three years following the events of the previous game, Fimbulwinter, a great winter that spans three summers, is drawing to a close which will begin the prophesied Ragnarök. Kratos and his teenage son Atreus begin to traverse the nine realms to seek out a means to prevent Ragnarök while attempting to uncover answers behind Atreus' identity as Loki. Their journey will lead them to Týr, the Norse God of War who was previously believed to be dead. Their conflict will lie with Thor, the Norse God of Thunder who seeks revenge following the deaths of his half-brother Baldur and two sons Modi and Magni; Odin, Thor's father and King of the Norse Gods; and ally-turned-enemy Freya, who seeks revenge following the death of her son Baldur.

Sadly for Asgardian they have rivalry. The Giant and Vanaheim can rivalry them. They have control over mortal but not a full control over them. Like a Dwarv that still can show resistance to them. Elf with their never ending racist war. Human that worship vanier god sadly they dead over Thor fighting a Giant. The Human were left too barbaric and seem cant build their own civilization. Just for the innocent souls' blood I spilled but it was a war and war always left casualties." like a true soldier. Because whats done is done and he cant undo it. Moreover his actions were necesseriy to protect his homeland no matter what damage he brought upon. It is better to perish the corrupted gods rather than left them alive so they keep ruling and harming mortals for their own desire.

Hearing him say his daughter’s name made me smile and sad at once since even if it has been too long, he still remembers her. Some folks tend to forget the names and faces if it’s long or something in the mind preventing to remember, but Kratos still recalls well. That and the fact that the last time he had seen her physically was back at the Elysium but he has to leave to save the realm from Persephone, though at the cost of separating and leaving her behind. While he is tough on Loki, and compared to what he had endured as a child, he was pretty soft on the lad especially as being a former Spartan.

Every time Kratos even hints at his past every shuts up and listens, it’s so funny.
Seeing kratos become a grizzled veteran is so badass
I’m glad Freya at least knows some of Krato’s tragedies in his life. That way she knows he does understand her pain. Freya may of not killed her son like Kratos kills his daughter but she did made his life a living hell for not feeling anything, all out of fear of losing him. What she did was wrong but she just wanted to make sure he stayed alive. Kratos slaughtered the Gods of Greece out of revenge for using him his whole life. What he did was wrong but wanted to make them pay for everything.
damn bro everything freya has gone through kratos has gone through BUT worse. kratos is just a badass and the fact he brought up his daughter made my heart shatter.

How has Freya gone through worst than Kratos?

@@syzorst I think he meant, "Freya has gone through shit, but Kratos's situation was far worse."
Freya will never know what it feels like to have to been betrayed and tricked into killing your own wife and child.
Freya : know my pain Kratos : know the ashes of my skin.
I’m glad Kratos didn’t go more in-depth as to what happened with Calliope..
Kratos: Freya, this is a discussion over mead. Freya: indeed, skal.
Freya.....let's step back and think. The man in front of you that after being abused, killed, and taken advantage of by God's he considered family *him being a son of Zeus helped in the power department* on top of that, fought a primordial titan or 2, who are arguably more powerful than the gods.....KILLED them. You're lucky he even let you put a blade to his neck when not looking. As much as I love the story and progression, JFC they keep forgetting how dangerous he TRULY is 😂😤
The way kratos talks in this game is so fucking metal. Hearing "that is how Spartans are made" gave me fucking shivers. This man has been through so much...
Lmfao, kratos just teach how privileged freya was compared to people in Sparta... Man liked "bitch you think thats bad, back home we whipped the kids from dawn till dusk"
Freya: did you know the pain of losing a child Kratos: yeah... About that
"Her name was Calliope." Never has Kratos' agony and grief been more perfectly described in a single line.
These are the small things that I love about this game. Especially, if you played all the GoW games, you can feel nostalgic about it when Kratos tells his story to the inhabitants of Midgard. EDIT: I'm surprised he didn't mention that his ashen-white skin is due to the fact that the gods bound her dead wife and daughter's ashes to his skin, to remind him of that day for as long as he lives. But that would probably shatter poor Freya's heart. LOL
Mimir : Emotional Damage!!!
Freya: I watched my mother burn alive Kratos: I ate my mother...
The mention of Calliope instantly made me think of Chains of Olympus. Kratos fought the Furies, brought down Cyclopses with ease, fought through hell and back. But when it came to having to push his daughter away to ensure she would continue to exist in paradise. I never seen him struggle more than ever before.
I loved it when they mentioned him being the Ghost of Sparta
The fact that Greek gods manipulated power far greater than that in the Norse realm gives us much more reason to fear Kratos.

Plus the Olympians can alter their size to Titan shape.
at the end kratos went full "i walked 10 miles to school everyday" on freya lol
Freya: do you know what it’s like to lose a child? Kratos: bitch I’m covered in my child and wife’s ashes….you think im naturally ashy white?
And those are only the bite sized and summarized bits of his story. I feel like Freya would've been disturbed if she found out how Kratos got his ghostly pale skin.
Retired God of War with ptsd
It's cool how those from different mythologies have fascination for the other lol
Love hearing Christopher judge talk this game is amazing
See this is what I love about character development. You follow them from thier start and can hear from thier experience as a wise person retelling the stories you already experienced but not from thier perspective and feelings. So cool 😎
These are the small things that I am really hype for!
It's so interesting to hear kratos talk about his past considering we know it all and most of us were there when it happened
Freya finally understands that compared to what Kratos had lived through, Balder's death was mercy for both him and his mother.
*Me crying* Kratos that was beautiful she was very helpful and a good friend😢😭😭
Very nice 👍
