Kinda late but, if you think about it, the next game chronologicaly is chains of olympus where he has to do the same, again, but this time he has to say goodbye to his daughter and slaughter all the pure souls in Elysium just to stop Persephone. Then GOW1 when Ares kills his family in front of him once again, and finally ghost of sparta where he loses Deimos in the hands of death. I'm surprised Kratos was even remotely sane by GOW 2

Max - Chains of Olympus is the easiest of all the games up until the final boss, then it just spikes in difficulty. Marathoning through all of them, there is such a clear drop in difficulty between Ascension and Chains, then a rise from Chains to Ghost of Sparta

Either way, demigod or mortal, the fact that he killed immortals should be enough to make the gods realize he was more than what they saw him as. Especially in GOW3 where Hermes is talking smack despite Kratos having already killed Poseidon and Hades.

I'm gonna say this now: Kratos isn't a bad guy. The only reasons he did to kill innocents and his family was because of the Gods and mostly Ares. Kratos wanted his family safe but because of Ares, he went bloodthirsty and killed his family. Technically speaking, ARES killed his family in a way. Kratos just wanted to avenge his family for what Ares had done to them. Now Zeus. Zeus didn't even care for Mortals and he doesn't care what happened to them, he just want their services and royalty. Zeus made Ares the God Of War and decided to let him do what he wanted. Zeus started the whole thing if ya think about it and it is HIS fault alongside Ares. Kratos was doing the right thing. He wasn't in the right mind most of the time and other Gods got in his way. Kratos isn't a bad guy, he just wanted to show to never fuck with his family. Edit: Kratos' smile in Ascension and GOW 4 cures cancer

If he didn't opened it would be the same as before only doing the bidding of the Gods but not turning on him. It was destined anyway for kratos to end Olympus because of the profecy. Fighting the Kraken is probably the most epic battle a hero could have...but for Kratos it's just a Thursday !

this is the best part of the series. whoever directed this should be given a medal

Boss Fight was awesome , why they didn't released Remastered Version on PS4 Also This is last God of War game which used Hack/slash GOW game engine...

@@patricksibayan6524 What he is saying is that the PS4 game is no longer just button smashing hack and slash. Now you require some precision to execute the moves, and the variety of enemies force you to constantly switch stances. One simple but important change, is that previously, you just pressed the Block button, and even if a mountain fell from behind, it would be blocked. Now, if you are blocking but an enemy comes from behind, you are screwed.

His mortality is his greatest trait. It makes him grounded to reality. He can never accept a lie may it even be his happiest moment.
