Gryla's outburst towards Angrboda telling her she won't be remembered is actually both heartbreaking and faithful to source material at the same time. In actual Norse mythology Angrboda's only importance is being the mother of Loki's children, Finrir, Jörmungandr and Hel, and there's almost nothing else on her.

This is a very sad and tragic story. Gryla is the survivor of the Jotnar Genocide which decimated her kind to a mere handful of individuals. She lost friends, family and outlived her own child. Now she is lost in grief and bitterness while trying find some kind of comfort in solitude and soul theft. I think she is broken on the inside like Kratos was once and Sundri is currently - to a point to where I assume she became a complete loner unable and perhaps unwilling to take care of her own granddaughter. My assumption is that Angrbroda reminds her grandmother of her own daughter and that fills her with grief and pain to a point that rendered her unable (or unwilling) to really take care of her own grandchild. This is not an excuse but a reason and she doesn't mean all the hurtful things she is yelling at Angrbroda. P.S.: I assume that in a rather distant future Loki and Angrbroda will have a little child named Hel. That makes me wonder how Gryla will react to that...

This is probably the only time I've seen the "giant boss attacking platforms" actually makes sense and feels right instead of feeling like "a huge slow baby hitting the table" boss most other games(hell even GoW has its share with kraken, Hephaestus, scylla, etc) have. Not only does the location justify the platforms -- the boss being a granny means she would naturally pause between doing stuff, unlike monsters or whatever you'd expect to keep up it's onslaught but don't because gameplay. Even the exposing weakness bit makes sense. Angraboda's handholding tips is too much though. Like, girl, Atreus heard you the 1st time about attacking the rune on the pot, no need to keep repeating yourself.

Friendly reminder that little to no depictions of Angrboda actually exist. The ones that do exist are vague as hell and it's not easy to determine what the hell she's supposed to look like. True, the Norse probably didn't imagine her as black, but they also probably didn't imagine a Greek god showing up to their realm and throwing hands with their gods. Besides, each retelling of almost any myth massively changes depending on who tells it. There *is* no definitive version, especially considering most written records of Norse mythology were produced long after it was replaced by christianity as the dominant religion in Scandinavia. Giants in this game are also already massively inconsistent. There's people sized giants like Faye and Atreus and then there's Thaumur. The word 'Jotun' seems to apply to people by culture rather than any biology.

I still think in terms of GOW 3, so ya know, kill everything that moves. The mindset really sells the message of Ragnarok though. It's easy to kill all of your enemies, and sometimes it feels good. Forgiveness isn't easy and it damn sure doesn't feel good all the time, but if you kill everyone before even giving them a chance or trying to understand them, then all you're doing is killing broken people.
