I got the money saved for a Duesneburg, and everyone went Jazzmaster. I got one of those, and now all the P&W guys are going Gretsch, at least I have a kidney I can donate... I prefer pedals, but Helix sounds great. If it was as easy to dial in as my analog gear, I'd probably switch.

I have a collection of Epiphones that can get me any tones I am looking for. Most of the best Third Day albums were made with Epiphones.

I know there is no such thing as a perfect guitar or the 'best' guitar, and lots of different types of guitars are great for different applications, but I've got to say that Gretch though! I can't put my finger on it, but particularly for worship guitar it has some kind of unique quality at that edge of breakup sound that really sets it apart to my ears.

They really do! I have a Gretsch White Falcon. That guitar and pretty much all Gretsch guitars have that mid-range growl that really brakes up nicely.

@@cameronjmc2679 I have many guitars. And my Whits Falcon is still the best. Even with my other baby Gretsch's I find the WF just has something to it that shines above the rest. Can wait to get a Black Flacon to add to my collection.

@@worshiptutorials Well standing up or sitting down, I just played through God of Revival with this patch. Well Done Guys! POG setting was very well balanced and the D9 (which I usually expect to be harsh) was not harsh at all. I love new WT patch day.

@@renoutlaw8371 But I think he is in drop D anyway, because he does a full chord at one point. I just play it capo 1. Besides, I wouldn't dare sing that in D live!! 😅

@@malachiskelly3919 I don't think he would be able to play those open D chords going up the 6th string if he was in Drop D, at least not with the fingerings he is using.

Our church does it in D, and the chord voicing/shapes are better in D. To play in the album key, you either have to use C shapes with a capo on the 1st fret, or tune down 1/2 step. C shapes are totally do-able - it really only affects the open chords, but the open chords sound good in D :).
How do you get feedback with the helix???

You just need to run Helix into a speaker (or PA) and make it loud. Feedback is all about the guitar interacting with volume.

It doesn’t really matter. You just need volume. Feedback happens when the guitar physically reacts to volume.
