Which is why they didn't give her crit :( I love her, but imagine how broken she would be if she could do a ton of damage AND heal? She would probably outshine a lot of new and old characters, and they don't want that

Solid hydro applicators have been an Abyss staple forever. So, yeah, Yelan will see high use there, especially given her damage potential.

I've been using the 3 star Recurve Bow on my C1 Yelan and I'm getting pretty good consistant numbers, I recommend it if you don't have Aqua and have good Energy Recharge already.

yeah, I love Yelan so much, her play style is just muah *chefs kiss*

tbh i knew moga was gonna be impressed by her and raise her talents higher than usual. when he first built her as a support and gave her sacrificial bow i was literally crying in tears, cause she is literally so good as a damage dealer!

Her animations r so cool!! And the editing is so good

She can actually hit even more with her E. Just use her passive. Use burst to apply hydro to swirl and while you do the rest of the setup you will get dmg bouns lol. You can even wait till her burst is almost over and if u time it right you will do a lot more.

You want to burst before using her E anyway, since her E procs the burst, outside of its timer. So burst, normal attack, E, normal attack, E (for a C1 Yelan, of course), and then normal until you can E again.

That buff applies to you're other teammates as well...

An extremely funny build I tried if you have her C1 is to give her sacrifical bow and a full gambler set. You get 4 charges of her E. Also the damage, even if the set is only four star artifacts, it's nothing to sneeze at.

Honestly, just giving her Gambler period is kind of fun since it fits with her dice.

This showcase was definitely different from the other showcases you've done but its really well done especially the intro! But imo Yelan is an amazing character and will be used a lot In the future.

I use Yelan's skill to group the enemies, and then her breakthrough to stagger the bigger enemies and get them away from her

13:28 *Itto is pretty offended.* Edit : I palyed her in the event and I actually did notice that when she gets her breakthrough barb there's a little mini version of it that pops over her head, it's quite faint but it's there

For those who didn't get it, Yelan's f2p weapons passive triggers to the maximum when you use the elemental skill against 3 enemy or more. But the problem is it goes back to 1st phase after 7 seconds. So, Sacrificial or Farvonius is better options in my opinion.

What a way to step up your intros, just awesome! Great video as usual!!

Even at C1, I actually enjoy running “main DPS” Yelan. Thanks to some HP cards in Abyss, I was able to hit 18k x3 from each proc of her burst bc she can buff herself if she’s on field.

13:25 , the abyss will be the same for the entire version, yelan's kit is more focused for floor 12, while usually one gacha character for floor 11 like itto

Actually Moga. If Bennett wasn't working well for Yelan. You could use Barbara as an option since C2 gives 15% hydro Dmg bonus for the active character if her is E is active

For her nuke set up, use her burst before kazuha to apply hydro and so her burst passive stacks up so by the time you're ready to use her E, her ascension 2 passive will give her bonus damage :)

When comparing yelan to xingqui both fill the role of a hydro sub-dps but for me xingqui is more of a comfort pick with his rainswords having healing and dmg reduction while yelan is more of a "offensive" pick since she deals a lot of dmg, good mobility and hydro application so when choosing one of the two really depends if you want to a high risk high reward or a more comfy playstyle.

i kind of disagree? you actually have more comfort in being able to quickly reposition when fighting enemies with yelan. xingqius healing is next to nothing and he feels very clunky to me at least. yelan provides more utility and dmg, and is over all considerably more fun.

i just got her yesterday, so this helped a lot with understanding her-i knew i would love her tho lol

The burst's damage will add more than that 450k, because the procs from using her E are off-timer. So you want to burst, then normal, then tap E, then normal until you proc and can tap E again, then back to normals. If you're in a hold E situation, then it is a bit different, as you won't proc the burst until you leave the E state. So that's 2-3 more procs (depending on C1 or not). As far as the breakthrough barb goes, one thing to keep in mind is that it is AoE, so it will outdo a proc of her burst against multiple enemies (and it will proc her burst, on top of that). Also, since it charges fast, you need to master that timing and just hold it that long, so you don't waste extra time if it isn't charged. Then maybe you miss out on some normal attacks, but those are crap damage anyway. Though, personally, I mostly just it at the start of the fight, and beyond that, to hit an enemy that's both weak and far away (sort of like why I might use Kokomi's burst). Works nice, especially if her burst is active and/or you're paired with an electro proc'er.

a fun freeze comp i do is xingqiu, ayato, ganyu, and sucrose, but yelan would probably make that comp more fun and deal more dmg instead of xingqiu. you should try it one day tbh

Yelan is really fun to use in the open world. I find myself playing more and just running around doing stuff because she's fun to play.

For a possible test dmg for Yelan, since she doesn't benefit from Bennett try using the team setup Kazuha, Mona, Albedo, and Yelan.

this is kinda off-topic but having Thoma in Itto team instead of Benny is really good (when Zhongli is busy in the other team ofc). Since Itto's burst already gives him a lot of attack, Thoma c6's 15% bonus for basic attack is a lot better and more comfy since u dont have to stay in Benny's ring and the ring go away pretty fast. Also Thoma's burst has 18s uptime so you'll be having his buff full-time. Your videos are the best, keep up with the work

This abyss is easier for you because there is not really any element checks. Last abyss was an element check so you had to use skill and game knowledge (or zhongli) to defeat those heralds and lectors. This abyss is a DPS check, and because your account is _invested_ you had an easier time.

She is definitely an upgrade for me since Xingqiu's damage is lower and his damage reduction and healing is a joke cause I play with Raiden Nation and Yoimiya vape.

Of course Xingqiu damage is lower. He's just a 4 Star character and he's been here for a long period of time. Yelan got all the upgrades coz she's new and a limited 5 Star. That's how you sell your product. lol

@@cardongputik2257 since he is one of the "broken" 4 stars alongside Bennett and Xiangling, I didn't think he would immediately get outclassed by Yelan. Xiangling is still very much viable and we don't need to talk about Bennett.

11:40 fairly sure its a function where the likelyhood of failure becomes quadratically lower but never reaches 0

There's a little indicator that shows up over her head when her lingering lifeline resets her barb. I find it easier to look for that than to check her bracelet.
