So...you're saying they have a machine that you feed all sorts of garbage stuff, and it pops out a legitimate egg that can be fertilized and turn into a chicken? Or are you talking about a process that produces an egg SUBSTITUTE? Because Ray Comfort was talking about the former, not the latter. So don't mock what you misunderstand, please.

In reading the comments posted to this video, I find it interesting, when athiests are challenged with God and creationism they get so defensive, almost as if they take it personally. If I argued that the tooth fairy were real, would any of you actually bother to give me the time or day trying to refute such an argument, or would you simply concluded that I were in all likelyhood mentally deranged and just let me live in my own perverse beliefs, not feeling the need to waste your time on such an argument?

Yeah because they're pissed at God. I used to say I was an atheism out of pride and thought I was better and smarter than people in church for believing such as story. I thought I'm not buying it I'm smarter than these people. As a child I knew God and wandered away and at times even when confessing to be an atheist I felt his prescence covered in doubts. After being freed of years of heroin, cocaine, and other addictions and homosexual acts , fornication, porn addiction, and so many other problems I now know that God is real. Ive witnessed demons cast out of people and I can testify firsthand that our God is an awesome God who loves us with an unfailing love and wants all men to come to repentance and a knowledge of the truth. Ive seen 7 people I've prayed for in a row one day and 6 another day. Because I wept and prayed for their souls , the Lord heard my prayers and answered them. I am convinced that he could do 100 in one day and that the more I repent and heal the more he will answer my prayer. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ The Holy One of Israel.

and yet we have never seen natural processes produce something as useful and simple as a single paper clip over the course of billions of years. A can of coca-cola is much more sophisticated and specific than a paper clip. The simplest single cell organism is vastly more sophisticated and specific than a can of coca-cola - so many orders of magnitude than it is virtually impossible to even conceive. Yet the atheist believes that natural processes alone have brought forth life. Could there possibly be a proposition more rediculous or laughable?

In a series of papers published in 1947 onwards, Ernest Cheesman showed that Linnaeus's Musa sapientum and Musa paradisiaca were actually cultivars and descendants of two wild seed-producing species, Musa acuminata and Musa balbisiana, both first described by Luigi Aloysius Colla. In other words, the Banana is a man made, evolved through human intervention, berry. But Christians don't like science.

How do we know that a wild fruit, and a supposedly non-wild fruit is any different, how can one be domesticated and other not, if I can throw a tomato anywhere in a few months it will grow, the tomato is a form of nightshade, along with potatoes. But neither need to be cultivated to grow, so how can they say that the banana has been domesticated, when it could just be another form of wild banana that is farmed. Argument is used with strawberries as well. Lastly, the entire argument about the banana ray makes is still valid, because we can only do some much, all things he makes mention to are still natural and it took a conscious mind and work to get certain desirable traits, that is not as foolish an argument as far as I can see it.

i am a christian and i find the first argument used by this man not good. adaptation has been proven. Its been proven that things get more adapted to their surroundings and get smaller. I think focusing on the extremely fine tuned aspect of our universe is a bad approach simply because adaptation can cover that. I would think dismissal of the theory of macro evolution would be a decent start (which this preacher does do in more recent videos...look up 'Evolution vs God Movie' on YT).

I don't know about you, but i sure don't shove food down my lungs to eat. Humans like to call creation "unintelligent" and point out minor "problems" in them, without even the slightest knowledge of how they work. Humans don't even know how a single animal cell fully works. We couldn't possibly replicate or manufacture it. Even a simple thing like bacteria in the gut has yet to be understood by humans. Would you like to try and create life? Go ahead, I'm sure you already think you are on par with God. Also, it was our own sin that caused the world to have problems. God didn't make us with sickness or disease. We brought that upon ourselves by disobedience.

Messed up your 1st premise in the first 30 seconds upon which all further arguments are rendered false. Atheism is lacking confidence in all theistic claims of any god existing because the evidence for the claim has not met its burden of proof. It is not belief that there is no God. Belief doesn't enter the equation at all.

I was hoping to gain some understanding of why Ray Comfort thinks that it's "obvious" that his specific God exists, or how he thinks he knows what's going on in the heads of atheists, but there is virtually no explanation for this. Instead, he talks about "God" in some vague abstract sense. You would barely have to change a few words here or there and he'd be saying that I deny the obvious existence of Allah or Brahma. I can't deny the good delivery and humor, but the content is utterly lacking - and it's not because I'm in denial because I love sinning so much. Here's some notes, mostly for my own sake, but I'll post it anyways: 1) Apparently Ray Comfort has zero problem saying that people are just "rearranged dirt", but is deeply offended by the fact that we are primates, apes, mammals, etc. 2) Ray Comfort thinks that we know which things are designed because they are useful. So if I use a screwdriver as a hammer, that's how I know that screwdrivers are designed. Same with rocks, which can also be used as hammers. And hammers make good paper weights, so they must be designed too. The point is that even if bananas were designed, *you would not be able to tell simply by pointing out the ways in which they are convenient*. Whether something was designed or not, it can be useful in ways which nobody designed. 3) The claim that parallel lines will never meet is not a "self evident truth"; it follows logically from the description. 4) *You can't just declare something to be an axiom*. I could just as easily declare that the non-existence of God is an axiom which is self-evident. Where do we go from there? Nowhere. All we can do is argue the supposed evidence. 5) Buildings and bananas could _both_ have been created by God. No one can deny that God could create buildings if he exists and wanted to. But we know that buildings were built by people because *that's the only mechanism that we know of which can create buildings*. And we know that the unguided process of evolution created bananas because again, _it's the only process that we know of which could do such a thing_. God could do _both_ of these things, but we don't know of any mechanism by which he could do _either_ of them, and so there could be no evidence that any god was responsible for either bananas _or_ buildings. 6) *There is no milk in the fridge*. Is this "an absolute statement which requires absolute knowledge"? No; it is a statement of a belief, which is held with a high level of confidence, based on RELEVANT knowledge. It's not absolute, and the fact that it could be wrong does not mean I don't believe it or don't know it. I've looked in the fridge, not seen any milk where I would expect milk to be, and concluded that _there is no milk in the fridge_. When it comes to specific gods such as the Christian deity, I am fine with saying "There is no God". I will not simply say that I "lack belief". I am convinced that there is no God, just like I could be convinced that there is no milk in the fridge. This doesn't mean that it's impossible to be wrong about either of these things; it means that I am currently convinced based on the information available. These are not "absolute" statements in any meaningful sense, and neither of them require absolute knowledge. 7) *Your circle that contains all possible knowledge works in both directions.* If all of the things that I've seen which indicate to me that God is a man-made fiction could be contradicted by a single piece of evidence that I'm not aware of yet, so could your God belief. Everything that you think is evidence for God could be some illusion, and the evidence of this illusion could be outside of your knowledge. To deny this would be to claim that you know everything. Does this mean that you don't REALLY believe in God, but you're actually an agnostic? Of course not. A belief is merely what you think is the case. If you think it is the case that God exists, you are a theist, and if you think that God doesn't, you're an atheist. 8) aaaaand I got to the end of the video and I have yet to see why the claims of Christianity are any more "obviously true" than any other religion.
