Passiondale is such a bad ass album. The last three songs are amazing. Man, if only these guys would tour the US.

I love the energy and intensity of old school death metal, it just can't be replicated by todays death metal bands. Not saying newer bands aren't good, its just the old stuff will always be the best.

That's too bad man! Thank god (probably satan...) I live in the Netherlands and i can tell you.. their an awesome live band!! Best dutch metalband, thats for sure. If you like God Dethroned so much you should also check out Katafalk (Storm Of The Horde), I bet you won't be dissapointed. Greetz!!

yes, mate, it isn't a recipe. and i wasn't talking about this video or the early God Dethroned as well. not a fan of labels either. call it whatever, the music is crushing. but you can't put together GD and say Florida DM bands, or with Gothenburg DM. and of course, there's a lot of BM influences in God Dethroned's music. cheers and \m/

Dude as far as I'm concerned being "metal" is not something that can be truly shown externally. Sure, you got the kids that wear the shirts and have the long hair and what have you, but to be truly "metal" in an internal, mental and emotional thing. You know you are metal when you listen to it and feel something inside you just fuckin' kick you in the junk and say "wake the fuck up this is music". This is what I get from heavy metal/hard rock

Amazing...but after this "The Grand Grimoire" is even better...and that album has more black metal influences...well, it sounds like Black Metal with Death Metal influences which would be the exact contrary of the The Christhunt...

I can kinda hear a little black metal influence though... the off-melody lyrics, the style of the tempo change... still definitely death metal though.
