Hello Guys❤ Gobhi Chaap Recipe 👇🏻 -Cut cauliflower into big chunks -Boil the cauliflower florets in salted water for 3-5 mins, then drain and keep aside -Heat some ghee and fry the cauliflower florets in ghee till golden -Take a big onion and cut it in thin slices and fry the sliced onions in ghee till golden brown -Grind the fried onions till smooth -Heat 1 tbsp ghee + 1 tbsp oil, add whole spices (cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, dry red chilli, bay leaf) -Add ginger garlic green chillies paste and sauté till fragrant -Add the fried onions paste and sauté for 2-3 mins -Add salt as per taste, coriander powder and cumin powder and sauté for 1-2 mins -Add whisked yoghurt at low heat and mix well -Grind some soaked cashews into fine paste and add this paste to the gravy -Add some water to adjust the consistency -Add fried cauliflower florets and cover and cook till cauliflower is soft -Garnish with some cream, garam masala and coriander leaves Enjoy this with some Pulao or Naan or Paratha ❤🤤

Why gobhi? Fulkopi is the name. People can see. You don't have to change the name of the dish in order to gain validation from people. And it's called 'Fulkopir roast'.

@@Lisaa6578 Fulkopi is same as Gobhi which is same as Cauliflower. There are different variations and names of a dish across different regions or cultures or even within a same community. And if I call this dish as ‘Fulkopir Roast’, will I get the validation from you or other Bengalis?? PS: am a bengali myself but I hate this stereotypical thinking. You might have seen or eaten this dish as Fulkopir roast but I have eaten this dish as Gobhi/Fulkopir chaap ❤️

@@bong_eats_misal I hate this stereotypical thinking when only one culture or one language highlighted. We have many cultures and I don't think I have ever heard anyone pronounce our names as it is. Because some bengalis change everything to fit in a group. I don't need validation from other bengalis. I am bengali that's why I mentioned. When you present bengali recipes mention the real name like you mentioned fulkopir chap or anything we say. Just like other indians do. I have never seen any North and south indian change their names. You see this comment as negative but if you observe when roshomalai to rasmalai and mishti doi when to mishi dahi etc. North indians will always say phuchka as panipuri. They don't know the difference and even if they know they (some people) will not. Try not to give a new hindi Or english name keep it real as it is. You're already mentioning the recipe.
