Gobbler Coming in Hot | Mississippi Turkey Hunting | Realtree Spring Thunder

Mississippi turkey hunting has been on fire for the Spring Thunder crew. Phillip Culpepper and Drake Lamb have seen numerous beaks get busted. They've also made new friends. Their most recent success found them scheduling a lunchtime date with a big-bearded gobby. Their new friend, Truvy Argrave, is with them for the adventure.
Follow along as the bird comes rushing in to their setup. S3.E20
0:15: They're running late, but still take time to address the audience and let them know what's going on. They decide to make one last-minute hunt in Mississippi before head home to Georgia. They discuss the morning hunt game plan with Argrave.
2:35: Daylight begins to break, and birds are gobbling before they can even get their gear strapped on. Culpepper can't refrain from get them all riled up. However, the first setup is a bust and they move on.
3:45: Of course, Culpepper gets the buggy stuck again. Fortunately, it doesn't take long for them to get out of the mud pit and back on the trail.
4:45: They find a willing longbeard that wants to gobble. The crew sets up and waits it out. Will the bird commit and come into the decoy? Or will a live hen that keeps yelping steel him away?
6:35: They decide to make a move, and finally spot the bird. An attempt to bring the gobbler within range follows. Culpepper succeeds in doing just that. Argrave takes care of the rest.

Phillip explain that saying you always say that Eddie Salter says if a gobbler goes to bed wet he’s less likely to be vocal the next morning. Does that apply to overnight rain after he goes to bed.
Bout killed that bird with some rocks and sticks too, his barrel was so low! 🤣🤣🤣

That bird fell in love with your calls! Great calling !!! You didn't need TSS ($10 per shell) for that very close shot ! You could have killed that turkey with a low brass game load ( .36 cents and high brass at .48 cents per shell)? WWWWay over advertised TSS shot. Why didn't you shoot him at 50 yards and show us how good that load is? My brother has shot 3 birds with $1.00 per shot loads #6 shot with no problems. 2 of those birds shot with just 1 of those loads/ yes 2 turkeys with 1 shot @ .50 cents a bird @ 10 yards. Alright, if a bird is hanging up at 60 or 70 yards and don't want to come in_ than throw in a $10 TSS shot? That's what everyone is saying it can do? At that range you got time to throw one in the gun since he's hung up. That way your $50 a box will last you years maybe 10 years? I'm getting so sick of hearing about over priced TSS shot and you people never use it for what it's intended for? Great calling !!! Many people around here in wisc. are saying they can shoot 60 and 70 yards with TSS shot with a 20ga.??? And so many are given in to the TSS hysteria.
