Gobbler at 3 Yards! Missouri Spring Turkey Hunting

How close is too close?! Throughout the morning Chad and Matt were on turkeys but it wasn't until mid day when they got them in close, and we mean CLOSE!! Check out how the terrain allowed this hunt to all come together!

I had the same thing this year. No luck, missed two calling them in, last day I was out planting (I’m a farmer) saw one strutting, parked the planter cause I was so mad I missed two already, grab a fan and tried the fanning trick. Got to 20 yards, turns out there was 5 gobblers and a flock of hens. One Tom saw and came walking over the fence line, 5 yards. I shot and turns out I actually smoked the one behind him and somehow not many bbs hit him. He died instantly, but I think because it was so close the pattern was still intact then. It was a lot of fun
