I love the fact that the video starts with a Vegetoid rematch, because that's where the whole timeline ended last time

30:43 Dropping items on the floor and giving them a little pat was already a thing in Undertale, if you equipped a weapon or armor for too long or had an item in your inventory for too long, when you dropped it, the longer you had it, the more dramatic the farewell is gonna be, I think this isn't even the most dramatic dialogue Same for calling Toriel in the same room she is in. Fleeing has a chance to not work, so that might be why it didn't work during Toriel's fight

The drop messages are random and have no bearing on how long you've had the item. Also yes, fleeing has a chance of not working but only if you're wearing armor. If you stay with bandage you can always flee if you have the option.

@@benjaminurquhart I never heard about the dialogue being random, the more dramatic ones only happened when I used an item for too long and everytime I dropped an item quickly it always said " [ITEM] Was thrown away", also please post proof that armor makes it harder to flee, I looked it up and didn't manage to find anything about it

It doesn't seem like the wiki has source for random item messages but all I can say is I am one of the devs for BnP and can safely say it's true (aka, "dude just trust me bro"). I'll come back if I find a good source on that if you need it.

The vast majority of the base game is done- The game actually has a message telling you when it starts to get unfinished or might have some bugs, but overall it's just as playable as The Ruins. There _are_ some places where we intend to touch up, mostly older sprites we want to redo, and we want to add more sub-areas like the sewers to the other areas of the game, but if you're worried too much about that then you'd already missed some stuff in the ruins (New Napstablook sprite, planned random encounter enemies for the sewers, Birdly moving out of the Ruins, redesign of Toriel's home... actually, that last one's not planned, I just wanna do it) Honestly I'd say go for it and play until you get that message, and check back for a replay whenever there's an update- we have some pretty big stuff in store.

Honestly ever since I watched the cafe frisk comic dub I always liked how they made the ruins like a small community and such, it's a such a great concept, not to mention that the ruins was the first place the monsters ever resided at when they got sent underground, so for it to be like a small town and such really matches up with the backstory of the monsters

this game looks crazy well made! for a fan mod it has amazing improvements! amazing narration Merg!

Let's all admit it now: Merg has been PUSHING out the content lately. The cherry is on the grind. Thank you Merg. :D

Merg is so easily excited about everything and it makes it so much more entertaining

I've been watching some videos about this mod, and i gotta say, i love how they redesigned everything!, from the tiny things like the blue lanterns and red leaves to the big things like the enemies, the battle background, and the important characters like Toriel, she looks very cute! (Also also, i like how when you put on different armors, Frisk's design also changes!)

19:56 i legit thought that was an amogus 29:25 o h . 37:39 lmfao 38:54 that came out a little too naturally i really can't state enough how cool of a mod this is. i know part of undertale's charm is its minimalism, but somethings about the way this mod expands on the base game and adds details just feels right, it feels like a love letter to the game and is an experience for people who already love undertale for what it is. it almost feels like a special edition of the game from the fans and for the fans. it feels so special and beautiful, i really really respect that and the more i see the more i like it. this time around the video shows a lot of original content, which was also very cool! i can't wait for the full release. also i have to admit, i played undertale for the first time very long ago. like, VERY long ago and i was very young, so i can barely remember my first playthroughs but i do remember that i got stuck at the leaf floor puzzle for so long i grew kinda tired of the ruins theme. and even though i actually like it and do consider it's one of undertale's best songs, i think i stopped listening to it as what it is. the reason im sharing this is because the ruins theme for this mod basically revived it to me? i don't know but there's something about it that makes it so beautiful and gives it a bit of an extra. honestly, even though i know and always recognized that the entire content and concept of this mod is awesome, that fact alone is what made me actually fall in love with this mod. it's a little piece of joy, that really makes my heart happy. it may be too much text for something maybe small, but i just felt like sharing that, it feels like a ray of pure sunshine

Well if you're going to make entire pacifist and genocide walkthrough that would be awesome. For genocide small tip: if you pick on Loox 3 times, he will give you 22 exp instead of regular 7 exp. So on genocide if you kill only Looxes you can reach lv 7 before Toriel fight.

Yeah

There's gonna be a hard mode for this mod since Toby didn't finish it. But that'll be in the very future. So unless you want to wait years for that to happen, i'd say wait for the Hotterlands update to come out and you can play the rest. As of now only the New Home and the Hard Mode are the only things missing.

@@Merg Pretty much just when it's finished They're hoping quarter 1 of 2023 but they're not 100% sure.

25:11 it's really a wonderful mod. And the update in coming soon, in which there will be a lot of new content. And i think you should play it today and then, when the mod will be finished, you should replay this mod, because Undertale is the game which you can play again and again. And it takes years to wait when the mod will be finished. The BNP team is planning to make the complete game, update the hard mode and add even more extra locations.
