Go Underground, then you enter... BONE TEMPLE

Ойындар

Where the boss is the demon that they sealed away so many centuries ago.
Only you're not here to fight the boss;
You're here to free it,
And get its power.

This week, I have 6 chapters finished! I think that's 1/3rd of book 1. I've been worldbuilding the map and magic, and outlining the story, all of that stuff that's not writing but I want to be there... it's been like 2 years or something! So to burn through 6 chapters in less than a month feels incredible.
As I change locations, I'm trying to set up the big moment in the middle. I'm so so so excited, because this moment is what makes me want to call this book Warlock.
The seed of this story was just a dialogue idea I had while I was at work one day. And Grey and I were talking about DnD, and about how interesting deals with devils and demons can get.
I thought about real life "devils." What were evil things? And why did people do them? I started to think about drugs, and why people do drugs. I thought about Heredity, and why Dahveed likes it: it captures a taste of some of the horrors possible when you make demon possession a real thing in your world.
"Wanna feel like a god? All I gotta do is borrow your body for a moment."
Scary! Scared me, at least.
Well, what would make you seek out something like that? The basics of course: revenge, grief, dissociation...
Nala meets this kid, this Boy who's trying to become a Warlock, and befriends him. And this book is about the beginning of their connection, over the saga of Nala's life.
The Bone temple is where the Warlock met his Fiend...
