Let’s take things back to an iconic era of pickup truck customization, the 80’s and 90’s. You may have lived through it or read about it, and even if you can’t agree with all the styles that took place during that time maybe we can agree on one. Bed roll bars and sports bars are just plain cool. And for a while it almost seemed like they went away. But like all styles everything comes full circle and Greg from CARiD.com is excited about it.
In this video Greg reviews Go Rhinos New Sport bar 2.0, a tribute to one of the most iconic pickup truck modifications of the past but with a modern twist. This new Go Rhino bed bar is designed using traditional design cues from the 80’s and 90’s but outfitted with the most modern materials and technology of today.
First Greg looks at the basics and general construction of the Sport Bar 2.0. Go Rhino uses durable steel tubing for the frame and light mounts, and aggressive mesh grilles for the sides. If you want to give your truck some more pop you can choose the polished stainless-steel tubes, or go for the sinister black powder coat. Regardless of the finish that you choose just know that this is one modification that will alter your trucks appearance and personality in the best way possible.

This mount allows you to run a switch inside the cab and fold your off road lights down when not in use. There is no other sport bar on the market that can do that! What kind of roll up cover did you guys use on your truck?

@@carid tea that's what I was thinking to. I use to have a roll up but traveling in the north at -40 put an end to that. To bad I really love that bar!
Gotta make one compatible with a trifold! Those roll up covers are a miserable thing to own in the winter.

I get the bed bar isn’t the same as old school roll bars.. but for me my real question is about the lights.. and it’s usefulness.. how effective or useful are the lights? A windshield mounted light bar has no obstruction and can even be angled down a smidge or a front bumper mounted light bar has even better use, however what exactly are these lights going to help me with seeing? I mean am I wrong for thinking that due to the height of where they are mounted and the fact that they can only be aimed straight that all you will be lighting up is the rooftop of your truck and anything that sits rooftop level and higher in front of you?

Pretty sure the idea for lights situated on the rollbar was originally for trucks that were travelling at high speeds through rough desert terrain. Having lights mounted high and bright, could show you the terrain way ahead of you so you would have time to react. If you're just rock crawling or working your way through muddy forest trails, no, they won't be much use to you. Answer coming 3 years late, but incase no one had given you a sufficient answer by now, there you are.

Dont get that cover! I had one. It would shift all the time and I was constantly realigning it, it froze up in the winter, making it near impossible to open. After about the 4 year there was serious signs of wear and finally the back few slats just ripped off. It was an absolute headache to own.
Can you tell me what model tonneau cover you have installed on this truck? I’m looking to combine a chase rack with a tonneau cover and it looks like you have a hard/roll-up style cover. Thanks

@@carid unfortunately you only carry the Revolver for the Titan, not the Frontier.

@@carid tha j’s for the reply, but I when actually just bout a used one from some one just today and I just installed it, it worked just fine, granted it’s was the 3.0 tho, but if any one out there is reading this and has the same generation or year F-150, please rest assured it will in fact fit 👍🏻 **(RollSport Bar 3.0)**

@@JustinPSG It would offer rollover protection if the mounting brackets were slightly different. I don't think that's an unfair comment. What you've got is a light bar that looks like a roll bar, purely for aesthetics. How stupid is that

It is not ment for rollover protection. A true "rollbar" will be of sterner stuff and will be rigidly connected to the vehicle's frame, not the bed sides.

Haha. A very high percentage of these truck owners don't even see the dirt. So I don't think they worry about rolling over.

Hence the name sports bar vice roll bar. I don’t think it was ever implied that it protects against a rollover. It’s strictly for looks.
Damn . So again nothing for Tacoma
Poor design... it rattles too much on the road and the bar doesn’t support the weight of the lights. I’d suggest a different product. Tried to find a solution with customer support and was not satisfied. I’m sure there are better products out there.
These don’t look good on a short bed truck. It turns it into an avalanche.

I agree. I don't even think they look good on an extended cab. Regular Cab/Full Sized bed would be the best look...

what the My 2009 Ram 1500 is a quad cab so the bed is slightly longer as a result so I think it would look pretty decent. Especially with the center mesh removed.

garbage pos design, mine came with a pair of tubes that was not the same size. and all the holes that were tapped for the side covers were misaligned. ill never purchase ho rhino products again.
