I still have the Wolfstack Docks theme saved on my phone. It’s uniquely good at being calming, and the music might be some of the strongest strengths the game has. …also, shoutouts to Nuncio for being designed by a Fallen London player who organized sending so many rats-on-a-string to the developers that they got hired by Failbetter.

Im very intrigued. Did this man send dead rats to Failbetter?

@@user-MerchantofVenus In game, Rats on a String are a currency of sorts. For whatever ungodly reason, you could send them to other players. I want to say that they ground out hundreds of thousands of dead rats on their own, and then rallied the community to send as many as they could. …I *do* remember that they ended up adding a quality so that you couldn’t send them more rats, and then someone *else* at Failbetter who was in on it removed the quality on the anniversary of Ratmas to allow them to grief the dev in question with even more dead rats on a string.

The Wolfstack Theme is absolutely amazing, and I'm glad they retrofitted it in form of the London theme in Sunless Skies (though it made me slightly sad to see how it is now being used for the perversion that New London is)

The Iron Republic theme slaps hard.
I remember my brother playing Fallen London and Sunless Sea back in the day and hearing about all the crazy stuff that went on in that game world. We’re both really into reading and learning about lore of fictional universes so it was really neat to hear about. It’s fun to finally see a video talking about just what the game itself is!
This game is right up there with rainworld in the "i wish i could get into this" category
Hey, it's my favourite game :) It plunged me into Fallen London and Sunless Skies as well, and since then I have been trying to convince all my friends to play it as well. I hope your video manages to so the same for others! And in defence of the Zubmariner DLC, the ports (especially Wrack) that come with it and the immortality ambition are really good, latter being my favourite besides the green-and-gold ending.

Thanks for this excelent review! Saludos y seguí con tan buenos videos.
I'm happy to see you upload regular now, I hope you review lesser known games that dont have many reviews or reviews by popular youtubers
Great video as always!
This is one of my favorite games of all time
Damn, I tried to start playing this one about five years ago, but I dropped. But now it's time to try again, I guess. Thanks for video, Vlade!
You’re putting out content faster than I can memorize them!
I remember playing this game a LONG time ago because I used to play the browser game. I wasn't GOOD at the browser game, but I enjoyed it. So it comes as no surprise to me that this game kicked my ass. The learning curve is steep and I just didn't have enough time to get into it all. Now that I'm older... maybe I'll dig it out of my steam library now. On another note, I'm glad you're still making videos mate. I loved your video about Lobotomy corp and is actually the reason why I played it as much as I have.
The sequel:Sunless skies, is absolutely fantastic, improves in every level, it's one of my favorite games But one game inspired by these sunless games called A House Of Many Doors became my favorite game of all time, it's an absolute gem
Played this game for years and came back to it every so often until Sunless Skies came out. I've still never won. I survived and retired...but nobody who knows counts that as a win in this game really
I really love your channel
Wake up boys, new VladePosting vid just dropped.
I adore this game's writing and its mechanics. That said, I'm someone that enjoys logistics and slow burn games. It's not for everyone, but for those that do like what it offers, it's a gem with few equals.
Nice video Vlade
good video vlade!
Good vid. Keep it up!
just great bgm choices
Great video! I like it.
You seem to really enjoy Paradise Killer OST.

It's one of a kind. Definitely going to be this channel's staple. I hope you don't mind!
Thanks for the quick overview. Lost my Zee-captain at the end of 2020, after 25 hours. Might take another chance!
God damn, you have been in a fucking killing streak, mate. Keep them flowing, you are already one of my favorite content creators. Also, Sseth uploading a EDF5 video after yours was quite the coincidence. Best luck :))
What the hell man how do you pump these out so fast I'm still working on the same report I did back when you released the video on Black Reliquary, I could really learn some work ethic from you
If you like Sunless Sea, I HIGHLY reccomend A House of many Doors. Please. I'm begging you. There aren't enough people that know this game. I am desperate. I'd pay. AHomD was also made by one of the Fallen London Writers

Oh, I used to play the app version of the browser game. The setting always seemed interesting and something I wanted to explore more. I will check this game out.
VERY cool
Ahh, finally. One of my all time favorites. Which I could've gotten into Fallen London but browser game autism ísn't really my thing.
Reminds me of West of Loathing in terms of both of them having originating from a browser game
Wow, I had completely forgotten about fallen london
Good review 4:02 the eternal Anglo…
Only ever played sunless skies
Are there other games like this? I loved starsector and this look great too, thanks
Oh yeah
My favourite game of all time, up there with TF2 and Blasphemous! Comment for ze algorithm, my delicious friends!
I max veil... and it's NOT because i'm effectively french!
banger
You going to do the skytrain game?
Review Battle Brothers? 😳😳
aww hell ye, early boys
I love the Iron Republic especially. Anarchy, not the cringy contemporary kind either, taken to its (il)logical extreme.
My only problem with the game is they made Fallen London. They had a ton of fascinating mysteries. And they just keep adding more. And they just never answered them. The answers were not hidden, there just weren't any. If I hire you to build a simple house, and you build a house of solid gold, ahead of the schedule and for below the price you cited, that's great. But if you didn't put a roof on the golden house, you didn't build a house, you didn't finish. But some people like the "Oh isn't it so mysterious that there is no answer" thing
@matejformanek9438
Жыл бұрын
Well, there are answers. They are everywhere really. Some things are answered in Fallen London and Sunless Skies, sure, but things get answered. Eventually. With a lot of detective work xD
did the romanians steal our upload schedule
❤❤❤👍👍👍
It's one of those game that i like but rather read a book about. The constant screenreading strains my eyes lol.
How does sunless skies compares to sunless zee?
@VladePosting
Жыл бұрын
In the most simple term I can explain the difference it will go a little something like this: combat is better in Skies, in Sea you'll need to escape a lot in early game. But Sea nails the atmosphere of being a lonely little boat in a vast zea of Underzea. Pace in Sea is riddled with trial and error, early game is brutal and will likely result in you ragequitting sometimes. TL;DR Mechanically Skies is better, but Sea has more content and writing is better because Alexis Kennedy is the original creator of the lore and he wrote extensive portions of Sunless Sea himself before he fucked off to do his own thing (Cultist Simulator)

@@VladePosting thank you vlade, think I'm going back into sunless sea then

Huh, I thought Zee was pronounced like neigh. That's how it's pronounced in Dutch.
I kinda doubt that you meant daughter, didn't you mean niece? Wrong hearth option
