It SHOULD’VE been at Wrigley Field but they had such a stupid rule in place at that time. The Cubs were the better team by record. The rule was the winner of the all star game would have home field advantage in the World Series. They got rid of that stupid rule the next season.

108 years in the making. My grandpa was less than 1 year old the last time the Cubs won the World Series. He died at the age of 99 almost 10 years ago. Congrats to all the Cubs fans. Those who got to see this moment and those who never got that chance.

@wongtimefunguy The 1982 Brewers are the team that made me a life long Baseball fan. I was only 6, but I remember so much from that season, and those Playoffs are forever burned into my memory! Of course, living in Chicago, things changed the following season thanks to the 1983 "Winning Ugly" White Sox. So, then I was a White Sox fan... for about 8 months, and that is because of... The 1984 Chicago Cubs! THAT team captured my heart forever, and I have bled Cubbie Blue ever since! However, if not for the awesome1982 Brewers, I might not have ever become a baseball fan.

To this day, i dont know how anyone can watch this and not tear up. It gets me everytime. Especially since our big three is gone now glad we were able to get one ring.

@@thelastboyscott I definitely cried knowing how badly the fans had wanted it for so long. I don't think I'll ever be as emotional for sports as I was after the 2004 Series. I know the Cubs waited longer but it's great when any team breaks such a long streak.

Tomas Pena I'm a Red Sox fan, and I was just as emotional over the Cubs winning than I was when the Sox reversed their own curse in '04. There's nothing like the euphoria of the impossible dream coming true, and to get to share in that again was a phenomenal experience.

actually in 1945 they kicked out a man by the name of billy sianis because he had brought his smelly goat Murphy to the game after they threw him out he shouted "them cubs ain't gonna win no more" and from 1945-2016 they would not appear in the world series and they didn't win one from 1908-2016

I am a diehard Giants fan. But I am SOOOO happy Chicago took it! I didn't know your suffering, I can't imagine your joy, but even I'm crying for an epic win! Yay Chicago!!!

You have no idea what it's like for this to happen for us. I cried this day. I'll never forget it. I'm so glad I got to spend it with my dad. He molded me into the cub fan I am today. I love the Cubs. I'll never forget this. I hope I can have memories like this with my kids.

SteffieM seriously! I became so superstitious throughout the entire game. When the Cubs were up for bat, I felt they did better when I didn't watch. Indians up for bad I would watch n hoped they would do bad lol. Stupid I know! But when they won...my first reaction was "Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!" Then tears of pure happiness! I was exhausted after all the games. Completely worth it!

The amount of success that followed the breaking of that curse has been awesome for the Red Sox, and this Cubs team looks like they're built to do something very similar.

If you're a Cubs fan know that watching the Cubs is never going to be the same again. I'm a Red Sox fan and noticed this after 2004. Before our curse was broken you always hoped and prayed that this might be the year. There was always a certain emotional reaction to everything because of all the history of losing. You always had this nervous feeling in your gut that it was going to get away again. But after it finally happens and you've got your first World Series win all that goes away. Now it's more like: "Okay, so they didn't win it this year, but they did before". I'm not saying its bad, its just very different.

As a Yankees fan I tear up every time I watch this video because the Cubs and their fans went through a century and then some of suffering. And to come back from 3-1 down in the series to win it all was incredible. And they just tore the whole team down this year. They definitely should’ve won at least two titles with that team they had. Even at the start of 2016 I thought they had the best shot to win the World Series and they did.

- I'm a Blue Jays fan & I gotta just say, as much as I would've loved for the Jays to win it this year, seeing all of the reactions to the Cubs winning the World Series is really kinda neat! I don't feel all that bad now. I know that when the Red Sox finally snapped the Curse of the Bambino in 2004 that was a big deal too, but the CUBS winning the World Series? The fashion in which they won it? WAY more dramatic & memorable. Down 3-1 in the Series & having to win the last 2 games on the road to complete the comeback? Remarkable! Shouldn't be that suprising though, the Cubbies had the best record in baseball this year & were heavy favorites going in to the playoffs, but to be tested hard in all 3 of their playoff series & still able to wind up winning the World Series, to have to go through 3 grinding rounds of playoff baseball to finally break that 'Billy Goat' curse? Well worth it! I know I just HAD to tune in to see if the Cubs really were actually going to finally win a World Series because you knew it would be kind of like a moment in time, the Cubbies winning a WS title on LIVE TV & in color for the 1st time EVER. And the 1st time many of us here actually can say we saw the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. Pretty special. To all you long-suffering Cub fans who endured so many years of frustration & disappointment...Congratulations! You guys deserve to cheer for a winner at long last. And the Cubs earned EVERY bit of their WS title even if they had to really be pushed hard vs the Giants, Dodgers, & Cleveland Indians. The BEST championships are the ones that you had to really battle all the way through to get there. Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs & to ALL you Cubs fans everywhere. Way to go folks!! :)

I was born and raised a Toronto fan. I still remember jumping up and down and screaming in 92/93. At the end of the day, though, I think I enjoyed seeing this win even more. The Jays didn't have to wait 108 years between championships.

My boyfriend and his family are long suffering Cubs fans. They lost their shit last night and I couldn't help getting swept up in it too. Congrats Cubies and to all you fans who've supported them all theses years. Your happiness was beautiful and touching.

You know one thing, being a life-long Cubs fan since the first grade('90) and from Texas, I was literally saying the same thing during game 7. I was like, "If my Cubs lose, it's gonna hurt...bad!" Not nessisarly hurting for myself, but for the players who would've come so damn close. "But if the Indians do take it, I would be very happy for club and fanbase as well!" Since it too, had been a longtime coming of losing seasons for the Indians franchise. In my opinion, neither teams deserved to lose. They both were so damn good and hungry. Had the Cubs lost, I too would have been grateful that it would be to a well deserved club like the Indians! Which is why they turned in one of the, if not the best, 7 game World Series event of all time! If the Indians get back to the Big Show, I'll be pulling immensely for the Tribe, for y'all deserve y'alls time as well!

Even though my team the LA Dodgers lost to the cubs I gotta give it to them they deserved it. Was rooting for the cubs in all of their games against Cleveland.

I'm not from Minnesota but I want the Vikings to win a Super Bowl. I have seen all their losses starting in 1970. Long overdue to win one !!

Cubs winning the world series brings hope for all teams to win a major championship. If the Cubs can win the world series after not winning one in over 108 years then there is hope for other teams. Like My San Diego Chargers. Yeah they aren't good now. But seeing cubs winning has brought me hope that they will win one day. It may not be this year or next year or in 5 years. But I know there is hope. and Teams of all sports should be inspired by the Cubs. Curse or no Curse this team fought their asses off to win the world series,

yoda8802 I've looked at that inning a few time recently (because espn is the only thing I watch) and no one seems to remember that routine ground ball that would've ended the inning that what's his face booted right after the bartman thing happened. also I don't think it was dusty's fault entirely.

***** I can agree with that. Like I blame Bruce bochy for bringing in Santiago casilla every night to blow yet another three run lead in the ninth. But overall it's casilla's fault for not making good pitches.

When the Giants won in 2010 I felt the extreme joy that ive never felt before. When the Cubs won it in 2016, the north side had that same feeling.

I'm all tears still crying I cannot believe it but it's true.. My cubbies did it and what a year, what a team what a dream came true... #GoCubsGo #IamflyingtheWlikecrazy

That is awesome, my dad missed this by four years. Wish he could have seen this. He used to take me to games when I was a kid back in the late 60s early 70s. Got to see Banks, Williams, Santo, Jenkins. This is amazing! I still can't believe it!!!

I had no idea he was a Cubs fan due to him being imprisoned since I was 3 years old, and did time straight until I was 21. Didn't find out he was a Cubs fan until the same year he passed. Odd! 😊 You were very lucky to have a father who took you to see those legends. Wow! I'd like to think that God had your pops in the best seat up there in that house, embraced with Ernie Banks and Ron Santo going absolutely berserk as they won!

I watch this video whenever I need a cry. My Grandmother was a Cubs fan all her life from the time the club had a minor league team in Goldsboro NC where she grew up. She never got to see the Cubs win the series. That win wasn't for the people watching. It was for her and all those like her who never got to see the dream come true.

No need to feel bad for the people of Cleveland, cause their nba team won their 1st championship earlier in June of 2016

i felt the same way everyone else feels on here, this finally happened!!! to all of us cubs faithful , to those whose family, friends, significant others who didn't make it this far in their lives to witness this....that win was for us that witnessed it and for them. GO CUBS GO!!!!! #flytheW

One of the first things I thought of after they won was how sad it was that team legends like Santo, Banks, and Harry Caray never saw this day during their lifetimes. :(

36 year old Toronto Maple Leaf fan here.....I'd like to think there would be a similar reaction to a Stanley Cup in Toronto. 54 years is a LONG TIME.......exactly half of the 108 years the Cubbies had to wait. I couldn't even imagine.

This is a beautiful thing. If only people could get as emotionally invested into taking care of each other as they do in the Cubs, this could be a wonderful world. Look around, and help that person right next to you.

My grandfather, who was a diehard Cardinals fan, even got teary-eyed when this happened. 2 weeks later he passed away. This was the last baseball game we watched together. He just smiled and hugged me and asked me "how does it feel?" All I could do was just cry.

I feel like anyone not from Cleveland rooted for the Cubs. I grew up watching the Cubs with my dad and Grandpa and I am so happy I got to watch history with both of them! The Cubs worked their asses off this entire season

As a fan from New England I know how it feels to win. But seeing the Cubs win put the biggest smile I ever had for a team that wins a championship. 108 years. It was the longest drought in history. Ever I. The World, now that they win. Chicago can now know how it feels to win a World Series

My mom passed away in 2013 from colon cancer, so every time I re-watch this, it makes me cry because my mom was a dedicated Cubs fan. I love ya mom... I miss you! That Series was for you mom!

As a die-hard Cardinals fan, at first I really didn't want to see the Cubs in the World Series. And admittedly I was rooting for the Indians the entirety of Game 7. But I won't lie to you, there was certainly a part of me that wanted to see the Cubs win. Crazy to think of all of those people in Chicago who hadn't seen a World Series title. And you know what, I'm glad they won. Lifelong Cubs fans deserve it. Congrats from St. Louis!

I gotta tell ya, I have watched a lot of these kinds of videos, but yours is, by far, the absolute best. The music choice, the clips....wow. As a life long Cubs fan, this brought tears to my eyes. From the young to the old, we have endured many years of hardships and heartbreaks. This seemed like an impossible mountain to climb at times, a truly out of reach milestone. But the sheer joy, the wild cheers, and the many tears, our beloved Cubs let us see history being. My mon is 87 years old.....a die-hard baseball fan. She got to see this game, the greatest World Series game ever played. I am sure that Jack Brickhouse and Harry Carey danced in the streets that night.....along with the other countless, die-hard Cubs fans!

Absolutely could not help the tears when they showed the older fans celebrating. So many years waiting, and I'm sure they've lost a lot of friends waiting during that time. I've seen the Lakers win it all, I've seen the Kings win it all, I've seen the Galaxy win it all. Before I go, I just wanna see the Dodgers win it all. Congrats Cubs fans! Idk how my fellow Dodger fans could root against you even though you eliminated us. I sure as hell couldn't. Enjoy it!!!

22 year old Red Sox fan here. Not even a Cubs fan but they truly earned my respect after breaking their curse 6.5 years ago. A lot of fans cried when we broke our curse in 2004, but honestly I tear up a little when I watch videos of the Cubs lifting theirs. It’s just a lot more heartwarming to see the fans finally be rewarded with a World Championship after 100+ years.

The whole world loves the Cubs. Even if you're not Cub fans. They are one of the classiest organizations in baseball. Way to go Cubs
