Mom and Pop country stores take care of alot of people. Feed them ,have a little of whatever you need to save from driving to town and provide conversation and a friendly face. The people working there are literally The salt of the earth❤❤❤ .

Having travelled from the UK to the USA and travelled across it many times by road, I've always found the folk get nicer and nicer the further you get away from the cities. True Americans are the best, most welcoming of people. You can tell the fella cooking the ribs and biscuits is a quiet guy and is not entirely comfortable being filmed, but he went along with it anyway - Great guy with much skill turning out that much quality food in that space. Great video - Thank you.

@@hoosierproud7718definitely. I live right outside Indy [Hamilton county, you'll probably know where it is] and the people down in martinsville where my cousins live are so, so much nicer. Less concerned with stupid nonsense too. I always loved going to visit and just interacting with the people working in stores, restaurants, etc. They just make it fun to be around them. So nice and welcoming.

Probably 65-70% of people have worked in foodservice at sometime in their lives. It would be the 30% that have not, that can be impatient and demanding customers. No examples of that in this video but I was just thinking about it. Cooking for the public at any level, Chef or Cook deserves great respect.

I did a quick search and you were spot on, 63% roughly have worked in the industry at some point in their life…while they don’t get the respect they deserve, they should, along with other service focused industries, be lauded for what they do. A certain famous person came to this earth to not be served but to serve. We all need to remember that when we want to pitch a fit that our food is taking too long…at least we have the time, money, and ability to even get the food.

People that watch Gordon Ramsay on kitchen nightmares and wonder why he gets so pissed when a restaurant can’t clean its kitchen or serve edible food, look at this. These guys don’t have half the resources that some of those kitchens do, but they work hard and they appreciate the people they serve. That’s the difference. When you appreciate the people that you serve, you never want to disappoint them.

The soft strain of wheat is known to produce much better biscuits. The brand is available on line for shipping. I love a good biscuit with some country ham on it. Best to all...

Used to work in a food distribution warehouse. On my Thursday night shift, we would get done with work on Friday morning and quite a few days, I would end up going on my brothers route and head home with him to stay at my grandparents for the weekend. I eventually got my own route and loved visiting the buisnesses and seeing how some of the places made their food. My aunt was married to an old Vietnam Vet and his mother ran a small restaurant for a few years and ate there a few times. You learned where to and where not to eat while delivering food and supplies.

Pretty awesome. I remember back way over 30yrs ago my grandma had Back then Coble whole milk and was in a yellow gallon jug. I think that is pet brand milk but first time I saw a yellow gallon milk jug since then and we are in South Carolina not that far away. Really cool! Was supposed to help block as much light to keep it fresher longer I think was the idea.

As a city slicker, I thoroughly enjoyed watching every second of this. I wish we had places like this near me. Next time I find myself on a road trip I will pay more attention to places like this and visit them. Thank you for such a great video. Subscribed!
