This was a gut-wrenching loss for Arkansas and their fans are still upset about it. They also hate it that my alma mater (MS State) went on to Omaha to win the CWS. They need to suck it up and be patient. They have a great program and will win the CWS eventually. This year, NC State just had a remarkable run. A shame we didn't get to see them in the finals but they will be back too.

In football and basketball, talent is the equalizer. In baseball, the game itself is the equalizer. Never disappoints or fails to surprise you

Go pack!! Cant wait to see you in Omaha!!! Avent deserves this more than anyone! After a season of heartbreak comes the greatest triumph. We got this in the bag. Watch out, the pack is back.

Great player, even greater personality. Signing autographs and taking pictures with fans hours after a heartbreaking lost and probably your last time in a Razorback uniform shows a lot about his character. Hats off to what he has accomplished this year. We got the best of him but thank you for providing us with a great home to play the supers!

Kopps is a fantastic pitcher, but they should have gone to closers in the 7th or 8th, definately in the 9th IMO... but maybe he doesn't have the horses in the stable? IDK, I don't know lots about their staff. Difference is, State has two rocket armed lefties as closers, bet Van Horn woulda loved to have one of them to call on, I think there is the difference in the series.

i mean honestly though he threw almost 120 pitches. how long could he really go

Fantastic and very fun college kind of series. This is what sports are supposed to be all about. And this last game was simply fun to watch no matter your school stripe. Sad when a great team like Arkansas doesn't get to Omaha, but I do love upsets, and so does baseball fans in general.
