Notice how well he has aged. He's mentally engaging and methodical with how he speaks. Sadly many elderly citizens often become disconnected and demented due to mental decline, but this guy is sharp as a knife.

Golden teachings for me at 19:55 (to 20:33) when he mentions analytical meditation combined with single pointed meditation is the most powerful type of meditation I have ever come across. Thank you, Your Holiness.

i've analysed a lot over the year but HAVEN'T been meditating...now i've started again and Trust that Meditation goes hand in hand with analyse. I've found that if you don't relax the mind on your analyse through meditation you can develop stress on your mind which snowballs your next analyse in the wrong direction and is much harder for your mind to get back.

The experience is real, however inside the illusion of separation of self. The best way to get the mind to see past the physical is to tell ourselves it is all illusion, so we can find the meaning behind this experience to see ourselves. Thoughts create energy, energy never dies, the same with our souls, it does however find another outlet to surface to. Everything we think we are is nothing more then collected thoughts, just make sure these thoughts are your own, else you may not be moving toward your intended path, but the path of others that you learned those thoughts from. Release yourself from the man made prison of fear and negativity, and embrace what lies within, which is pure love & happiness.

Have a nice weekend everyone !! Here is a wonderful video of his holiness ; THE GREAT DALAI- LAMA , the Buddha dharma !! A great graphic document that speaks widely on spirituality , direct , close , and touching , hope you can help many beings .... WORDS OF HEART SUTRA : When a tree of the garden you must care for sick , but do not overlook the healthy trees. If you ever experienced hunger , you know that a meal is a miracle. If you suffered cold you know the value of the heat. If you have suffered know how to appreciate the heavenly elements are present. If you just fixed you in your suffering you will lose paradise. Do not ignore your suffering , but do not forget to enjoy the wonders of life, for your benefit and that of all beings. ( It's necessary to know the darkness to appreciate the light- - the contrast is what makes it interesting to life ) . Nadine .

For sure the correct ways of the meditation will dramatically help your body, mind set, brain development,...etc, many benifit as you can't imagine. Because the meditation mainly is flotation of the energy to balance your body and mind set to clear up your mind and concentrate your energy and to impact and focus your mind to where you want to be focused. First of all, we have massive energy in our body to flow around our entire body. The positive ones, negative ones or nutral ones. Especially the healthier ones often more or even with excessive energy flowing around the body. Often, the short tempered ones also will caused by the excessive energy flowing. Often the overly worrysome, stimulations, unexpected outcomes, sudden impact of the negative unsmoothness,...etc, will bring you the negative energy which will make you feel bad, unhappy, hatreds of the revenge or vengeance of the mood, sleepless or any kind of the crazy things. The correct meditation will balence the energy to more, or much more or totally positive energy and make you feel better worry less, happier, and even the great mood without any side effects at all. It can also make you be focused with the effectiveness of the results. This certainly will highten the efficiency of your works. If we are working on the meditation daily, we will be surely addicted by the energy flow rutienes, unless you are working in a wrong way. I love the I-Chin reserches and trained under a most well-known and very old I-Chin master for more than a decade. He required me to learn to meditate 1st before he started to seriously teach me. I did exactly what he wanted me to do. Since then, day by day, month by month, year by year, to decades, I can never stop to meditate again. However, I believe that, as long as you are doing in the correct way, mostly, it will only suprisely benefit your health, mind set, make you the very much peace of the mind as it can be, no hatreds or less, generous mind of the forgiveness, less greediness, easy going and satisfied what you are as youself. I believe this is really good enough as a human being.

Listen! is... -good- ...to practise is better...after your -body- is melted (inner - outer), breath & your heart is collapses into nothingness...in this deep darkness, staying for a while-automatism-in the middle (amid) whole universe, then you travel again into light, it means, you are created from (by) the sun/not from the moon/not from any other galaxy/not from your government/not from any religion/but you are the ONE in ALL (Non-Duality=Advaita Vedanta) ..meditaion is one way..to realise..

From the beginning -your birth- , your heart & mind is completely pure (clean), the problem is...the outside world (coming from...(IN CONTACT..feeling&open eyes&ears &c.)..so..you have tree possibilities to react, in a positive (way) -neutral- or negativ form. To save (your positive heart&mind)..neutral (you are a monk-only observe..react in a positiv way)..all negative reactions...are coming back, earlier or later, pains..are coming, two times! by doing & in the liberation-process, from it..

I wake up happy every day. I turn on the tv all is bad and negative. I go to drive my car to work and people are evil with road-rage. I buy supermarket food that has been engineered by food scientists that is full of addictive sugar. I dislike England. If your mind becomes to calm from conflict, then the outside stresses become harder to deal with in real-world.

the idea is to be able to see problems as single entities than to see them as a whole... if you see them as a whole they cause negative emotion, fear, stress, anxiety etc. . Meditation should allow you to find solution to problems as singles or be happy with not having solutions, accept what you can not change, inner peace. Think about that

Hi Dave - I went down the thoughtless breathing meditation road... to start with for the feelings of bliss it brings. I've been meditating for 2 years. What I'm finding now is while I feel more empathy towards others, I also feel quite removed from them. So, as an example: In a queue in a supermarket. Guy behind me starts swearing under his breath, getting all agitated, because it's his lunch break and he's in a rush. Before I would start either agreeing with him or wishing he would shut up - he should have given himself more time and not take it out on us. Either way I would 'catch' his emotional state. Now I empathise with him: Poor guy - he's getting himself all kinds of upset over there. Feel a little sorry for him and then my mind goes silent again. As he continues his ramblings my mind is quite happy it's already thought about the situation and remains silent. The energy rushes, feelings of bliss or whatever you want to call it continue and I am happy. I meditate 2 or 3 times a day, 1/2 an hour a time. I find if I think in numbers, words or images while meditating the feelings of meditation stop and the bliss which happens after I've finished meditating disappears. So I keep away from one pointedness meditation. By talking to people I've found out different types of meditation work for different folk. And for different reasons. (Hindi meditation? Chakra's and all that stuff? Doesn't work for me at all. However, if I do 1/2 an hour of beginner's yoga every day, the feelings of meditation and bliss magnify. Strange huh? Same with red grapes. My brain sure loves red grapes!) So whatever works for you is cool - I'm just gently suggesting you might have to tweek your meditative practice a little. It's no biggie though, just try something a little different each week. The very best of luck to you buddy.

A important stage in the practice of Vipassana (Meditation Technic), the experience of the dissolution of the apperent solidity of the body into subtle vibrations which are constantly arising and passing away.
