Excellent video! I got it in a bundle I bought awhile back for something else that I use for work. Haven't been writing any music lately, but maybe I'll jump back into a session and make my bass not sound like flat farts.

Tyler Brittan nope! It’s the same thing, and actually KZread takes more of a percentage, so end up with a little bit more in my pocket from patreon. I just made both so that people didn’t have to go thru the extra hoop of making a patreon if they didn’t already have one.

Its Drewsif Groovy. Can’t wait to check out the video, man. I always thought it’d be super cool for you to put out some drum sample packs. I know you use GGD and Superior Drummer and stuff though, so I see where the legal issues would lie. Just a thought if you ever get to record some drums to make samples from. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I generally do use the waves SSL stuff, but for this one it was just fab filter and Decapitator!

The whole thing is a mess, I had the camera pointed too high so I cropped in to make it look like it was a crazy tight shot on purpose

The "T" on decapitator stands for Thermionic Culture Vulture, not transformer :)

Can you explain? I thought if he turns down the volume of the low end with EQ then compression will try to bring it back up

@@athmaid Low end is generally the first thing that compressors suck out of a sound. Just the way it is. But i guess what you said is theoretically true too: the type of compression that squashes the top and brings up the quieter sounds (i.e. limiter types) then maybe a quiet low end would come up more relative to the rest of the frequency spectrum. But if you're cutting the EQ beforehand then is that really the beefy bass needed?
