Suffered multiple cardiac arrests and massive strokes in a real short period and God or one of his messengers got to meet me. After being given a visit with my best friend, who's passed, I made a deal to come back. I an working my ass off doing something I have no idea how to do.. This song hits a place I don't know how to describe.. I'm in no way at all in control.. I'm crazy.. this deal is crazy.. that experience was one I never thought possible, and kind of isn't.. I've watched so many friends and family die from drugs and the aftermath.. I'm trying to put together a different type of drug rehab/detox in my hometown.. never, ever thought I'd live to see today.. God bless every one of you, positive vibes, peace, and love.. Life is short and 5 more minutes isn't a promise to you, always be grateful for what you have.. so many of them would love to have what some of what I was given an extension on.. prayers would be appreciated for all the people who've fallen to drugs and the wrath that goes along with addiction..

I flat lined in the OR 5,6 times. Crazy girlfriend, 13" butcher blade. Helluva way to wake up. We are still here for a reason, friend. My day is morphine and oxy. Prescibed. The pain still wins. They need to literally re-wire my back. I wanna walk again!! We need to stay positive!! The girl that stabbed me? She turned down 20 yrs plea. I spoke up. She did 2. I was waiting for her when she was released. She left me after 13 yrs. She was 24, me 58 when we started. Crazy? I could write a book just about us. She wants to get back. I forgave her for the stab, but not the leave. Her lesson: maybe what you have is what you do want. Good luck on the rehab project. Helping others often also helps us. ❤

I grew up in a very harsh environment which was to me like being engaged in an active war...for my own survival. This was how we were raised everyday from day one of our lives within our family. My mother was always in a rage and trying to "beat the devil" out of me and she did not show love sufficient enough to instill any peace or confidence in myself, like she could even if she had tried to. I have been crazy most of my life as a consequence of my childhood and it's only been the last few years that I have been able to heal enough to at least GET to the level of just depression and sadness I experience on a daily basis now. I don't cry in the morning anymore at least not as much, and the feeling of impending doom is finally subsiding and most days are better than what I used to experience. I am 59 and I identify with this song so thoroughly that you'd think it was written for me. 😢and I can die when I'm done....

The lyrics of this song are helping me to deal with what the world has given to me to hopefully grow and become a better human being, regardless of the disrespectful and ugly behavior of others. Does it make me “crazy” because I don’t want to treat people like shit? As for those who have decided to treat others like shit, I’m gonna continue to do my best to avoid them at all costs. Life is way too short to subject ourselves to negative people who’s only desire is to cause others the same misery they themselves feel. Be good to yourself and others, before we know it, this ride is over. Be well.

For me, it has nothing or little to do with the reason why Green wrote it. It is a powerful love song for myself, a survivor song. A reminder that every time a man or woman called me stupid, put me down and told me I was crazy or would never make it, one tiny wee spark lived and I did, and all the put downs went into the ether of the world where bad energy dies. I embraced the words stupid, and crazy and lived in a huge space beyolnd the norm. I have never found a song that desribes it so well and I am so grateful to the lyricist for writing it and singing it so brilliantly.

My old man loves this song too, and he was a senior citizen. He loves to be and pump in the beat to me LO.L
Love this song since hearing it a few years ago, just paid attention to the lyrics. This senior citizen is hooked.

Almost 16 minutes long and still too short. I could listen to this all day. What a voice!

Senior too. Love this song.❤
Be well.

Well who do you think you are…you really think you’re in control ? I’ve never had an addiction but my son did. I wasn’t in control of it nor could I fix it for him..but do you know who was in control? My father in heaven. I prayed every single day for yrs and he’s now 7 yrs free from the bondage of drugs. I honestly thought I’d hear he’d been shot or over dosed. He’s living a good life at 38 theses days. Praise be to God who was and is in control
"MAYBE IM CRAZY"... I LOVE THIS SO MUCH !!! ❤
I spent years looking for this song. All I could remember was the lyric 'I knew too much'. I found it about 6 months ago and couldn't believe that it was not from the 1960s or 1970s as I thought it was.

exactly ,me too. Really , Unbelievable Song

I think of my sister and me. Drugs. I'm not doing them anymore but she is still heavy into it and it hurts like crazy watching her, not knowing what I can do...knowing there is nothing I can do.
