This map was quite colourful and beautiful to fight on, a fun video to make. I just wish the collision of the objects like the rocks, plants was a bit better on this map! I wish this map was a bit bigger too. Makes me wonder what other colourful alien planets we can find such as a Star Wars Felucia. The map creator & or author of the submission of this map is also gonna release a new Xen world Half Life 1 alien map soon as well.
Adrian Shepherd is armed with a Aliens Movie M41A Pulse Rifle to fight his foes, well equipped with a underslung grenade launcher similar to his issue weapons he has used in H.E.C.U like the MP5 with M203 or M16/M4 with 203 except this weapon is superior tech used by the Colonial Marines firing superior penetrative and expansive munitions and caliber. 10x24mm Caseless rounds in automatic fire with a 99 round magazine. U1 Grenade launcher is the designation, M309 Grenade launcher 10x24mm Caseless rounds for the underslung launcher in which can also take shotgun shells I believe in 12 gauge. Theirs multiple variants of the rifle according to the lore as well. The movie Aliens M41A Pulse Rifle was actually built off a heavily modified Thompson WW2 submachinegun and a Remington 870 shotgun and some parts from a Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun. The pulse rifles grenade launcher has a 4 round capacity in lore. Gmod version holds one grenade at a time and no shotgun use.
It was awesome doing something with the Adrian Shepherd character as I feel he deserves a lot of love as a favourite of mine, I wanted to do something somewhat universe fitting. The idea of this being this takes place after Opposing Force, this is one of the locations between putting Adrian in stasis because of G-man and the events that followed after, this is supposed to be sort of a fan fiction stop gap of one of the places he could of been needed again by G-man essentially temporally waking him from stasis or reassignment if you will.
This is more meant to be a fun video then a serious one mind you plot wise. Always looking to test and improve things to make the realism videos better. There's always more tweaking to do and areas to improve!
