Making a map is free(hell hammer comes prepackaged with good) and so is adding addons but it is time consuming. Though you do need a Community but you need to have friends to start that but to have friends you need to go outside

@@person420 I always found it fun to set up addons the way you want. You get to experience what you wanted, what you considered would be good. And friends? I've never had any which I could do this stuff with. I had 2, now only 1. First one left me after a match of CS:GO (we were friends for 4 years up to that point) and second one I'm still friends with, only he's not available 24/7. You need a large group of friends, or a decently sized community. When I found that out, I moved to FiveM.

furries are especially weird though. like it's not so bad when you just have an animal avatar in a game or something, but it's a whole different thing when you're spending hundreds of dollars on a fursuit. the whole "fursona" thing is where it gets weird.

@@casuallycompetitive4715 thing is when you're paying for something like a suit, you're not just paying for the materials and the result, you're also paying for the quality, time and effort put into it, since it's all custom it's obviously gonna be really expensive, mfs gotta eat and pay rent haha and oh fursonas, idk they're a thing that's not necessarly a furry thing, anthro characters have always been a thing, what i would find weird however is finding animal attributes or animals in general to be hot, now that's fuxking suspect right there.

@@r3n837 Yeah, that's what's so weird about the fursuits. I've heard people say stuff like "its just a silly costume lol", but clearly it's much more than that. You don't just spend over a thousand dollars on a whim. The problem is that the furries make it such a big deal for themselves. Like its one thing to have an animal avatar in a game, but its completely different to spend thousands of dollars on a suit and wear it out in public. (not that that happens often, but still) I've heard a good explanation for the fursona thing is social anxiety, because its easier to go out as someone else. The sad part is, that probably just makes their social anxiety ten times worse.

​@@casuallycompetitive4715 idk it usually helps people get out of their shell, or atleast from what i've seen, specially with people that go to cons n shit, i see that a lot of peeps in the community seem to have struggles with their communication skills, with mental health, with not many coping mechanisms and are searching a form of escapism, they're people that would benefit from being in a loving and welcoming enviroment, wich the furry community usually provides. And i don't think it's that weird to wanna dress up as a character you've made, it's kinda like cosplay but you're a giant teddy bear suit, fun stuff! and people want something well made to walk around with, do you know how expensive it is to make hand-made, well crafted shit, the time it takes, you gotta take into consideration the fact that it's not a giant plushie, it's something that someone is gonna use and walk around with, you gotta make it comfortable, so there's that. if they wanna spend an insane amount of money on something because they thought that the artist deserved it, then let it be, there's no harm in it, not your money and not your business. oh and there's of course people with insane spending habits that waste all their money on things that they're not even gonna use, but that's like a super small porcentage, and need actual therapy/professional help, it shouldn't be shamed but it also shouldn't be encouraged. (WOW THAT WAS LONG, SORRY FOR THE BIBLE PARAGRAPH)

@@r3n837 "getting out of their shell" by putting on a new one, yeah sure. Not to mention all the weird stuff that goes on in those communities. Its not like its rare either. For instance, awhile ago there were many furry discord servers that had channels for "cub" pornography. If you didn't know, "cub porn" is literally just CP except for furries. _A significant portion of the people in the servers saw nothing wrong with these channels._ There were even a few actual discord admins (who were also furries) which supported this and protected people from being banned for it. (discord has since fixed their policy on this, but still.) Like sure, every community has its bad eggs, but furries are *especially* bad when it comes to perverse sexual stuff. There are even many furries actively supporting and trying to destigmatize zoophilia. (THAT one isn't a very significant portion, but who knows how many of them are just quiet about it?) Bottom line is, the furry fandom is a rabbit hole that you don't want to get very far into. Staying on the fringe is the safest thing you can do when it comes to this.
