How did you remove glue on the side strap

What are you using to sand the glue off? What is the name of the glue you are using? thank you for your answers. :)

Just use like a 320 grit sandpaper for the sanding then use a contact cement for the gluing

I saw another tutorial using “dunlop gum/ glue”. But I don’t think it’s available in California which is where I’m from so I have to find something else
