Does it really possible? Since its a glue stick, is it safe or not even melting from the heat of the christmas light you put in? It's interesting but, I doubt it might cause danger or something not safe?

It is perfectly safe. LEDs produce very little heat so the christmas lights won`t melt the hot glue sticks. Compared to conventional light bulbs which produce a lot of heat they can warm up your room in winter, lol!!. Don`t take my word for it though, try touching a conventional bulb and a light emitting diode (LED) when they are both lit up yourself to see the difference.

So I did this because I thought it was a great idea but the glue sticks I used started melting its looks cool but doesn't last long. I mean this could start a fire I suggest finding an alternative for the glue sticks.

Abigail Merritt uhm, glue doesnt burn from an led ^^ and make sure to buy low voltage leds. The lower the voltage, the lower the heat.

Do not lie and confuse people. Christmas tree lights are LEDs. They don't emit heat. Be sure of that

FYI: Not all Christmas tree lights are LEDs. Older tree lights are *not* LEDs - they are small incandescent lamps which *do* emit quite a bit of heat considering their size. LEDs also emit heat, but it's quite a small amount for this type of LED. Granted: Your description says to use LED Christmas lights. But some people are not so smart and do not know that not all tree lights are the same! P.S. An alternate material would be acrylic rods, but it's harder to mount the lights to them. And they're not as cheap.

Problem is after a while the hot glue sticks become yellow with age. also the heat from all those lights cause the sticks to warp. It would be great for avparty or something short lived,but nothing that would last. Still a great Idea I think.

hi it was great making this light lamp gives a very good look but d gluesticks started melting after few mins.. its good for sometime. can you gv some other alternative in place of gluesticks

... nope! those Christmas lights are being made for high voltages, as that you get on your mains, 110, 120, 220 or 240 volts AC. but you can try using an Arduino, uno or Nano, and 11 leds any colour you wish... or eleven RGB leds ... 😁
