That vintage wrapping paper is SO pretty! Why don't preserve it by making or cutting out a Flower Power type flower just the right size to put the title but not cover too much of gift wrap to put on your title page.

I've done a ton of adult coloring books and hated the idea of throwing them away. So I have pulled apart and cut them up. Sometimes fussy cutting and sometimes randomly or abstractly. (I sent some coloring cutouts to FBF before your last collage night. Pretty sure MB used a couple.)I've been creating altered books of varying sizes. I'm calling them altered books rather than junk journals or glue books because they are mixed media. Using color to organize is a good idea. My organization is sometimes not working. Though primarily it is "like with like." But I have I have also been using alphabetical accordion files. So I've run into the problem of some letters being overcrowded. M started with just mermaids but then Mexican folkart went in M because F was already overcrowded. It just gets fatter! I think I'm going to have to break up the alphabet and use multiple accordion files.

Love the idea of using a coloring book. You could do that with purple too.

I really liked the background color pages so you are ready to glue the smaller cutouts. Your green pages came out great. Thanks for the tips.

Another tip , especially when using a comp book: to keep your spine from going wonky, you should alternate working on pages in the front and back, working towards the center.

I do a lot of junk journaling but I really haven’t done a glue book. I think I need to start one. I must have bought ephemera from you because I have that colorful first paper. I want to make another 70’s sewing journal with the Good Housekeeping magazines I got from you. Fun! Fun! Fun! I loved this video!

I used envelopes from junk mail. Especially the big ones. Wrote what it was on the front and as I harvested a green pic went in the green envelope, etc. When I glued those down, i started over.

AHH I have not seen this idea before. Maybe I can do this with all my Scrap Book papers and stickers I have been hoarding for 10 years! Thanks, Laura, for these great Ideas! ❤💙💚💛💜

I came to your channel when I saw your comment on Nicole‘s video. She is awesome and I adore watching her. I have learned a lot from her. You have done a very good job in your glue book as well! My ears perked up when you said your youngest was 22 and just graduated from college. I have my youngest at 22 getting ready to graduate this Saturday from Southeastern Louisiana University. And then you said your kids are 10 years apart and I figured I had to stop watching and leave this comment! I had five children in 10 years and my baby is wrapping up her schooling years on Saturday. She talked about going and getting her masters, but she is newly married with a baby and thinks she needs to put it off a bit. Keep on gluing! I like your style!

Glad you're hopping on the Glue Book Express, it's SUCH a great project and I'm convinced it has far-reaching applications (like dream boarding and project planning/swatching, etc.) in addition to its therapeutic VALUE and being a wonderful creative outlet (and highly addictive). You seem to have taken to it beautifully. Nicole at Relax Cut Glue is great, as is Kagedfish if you're looking for more direction, instruction and inspiration (and Artrinsic Values has a gluebook roundup of 2021 [?] that's incredibly inspirational too. Happy gluing!

This was really fun and I’d never heard of glue books before seeing this video, as you asked for suggestions for the title page and also mentioned you thought Max would really enjoy the “color” book when he is a little older - how about using a photo of Max, and making it Max’s Color book? Your pages looked great, especially the Ann Margaret page, so I’m sure whatever you decide to do will look great.😊
