the condition is normal and as long as you do not taken any medications that are known to cause an attack every thing is fine. when ever a person of g6pd deficiency goes to a doctor, he should tell the doctor that he is a case of it and the doctor can then adjust the medications accordingly

Dont worry. Not a big issue. Child will be normal and fine. But be sure that when ever u go to any doctor tell them that the child has this problem. They need to give safe medicine for such child. Otherwise everything is normal with the child. Just relax

As of now corona has no definite treatment. Hydroxychloroquin has issues with g6pd deficiency so not to give. Treat symptoms. Is case chloroquine has to be given, no problem. Let hemolysis occur. It will not be serious and can be managed with blood transfusion

g6pd is not a big disease.check up on the internet for food that you should avoid. but at this age if you have not had any problem, i guess the food you are having is good. yes problem with medicines especially chloroquin and primaquiin used for treating malaria. go through this link www.researchgate.net/publication/303790436_Living_with_Glucose-6-Phosphate_Dehydrogenase_Deficiency

As you mention g6pd diagnosis will be shortness of breath, fatique, weak. So will g6pd patient will always have such issues or only when it triggers. Pls help

The signs i said is basically of anaemia. Only when the hb levels are low and it occurs quickly. Typically when an offending drug has been taken and lot of rbcs get destroy ed. In the absence of it, like on a daily basis the person may not know if they have the problem or not

This disease does not cause anaemia always. That is why your father did not have any problem before. Only when primaquin is given in treatment of malaria does this problem occur. Not by chloroquine. That is why your father had the problem later in disease

nothing to worry. if the child has the problem, it is ok. would advice you to test it once again after one year. if still positive, no problem. Many people have the issue and are never detected to the end of their life. so no issue. Important thing is that you have to tell the doctor that your child has g6pd deficiency so that they should be careful with the medicines they give the child. You would also need to check up in the internet if the medicine given by the doctor is safe or not - just in case the doctor has made a mistake. otherwise the child will live a normal life. no need to get tensed.

To the beat of my knowledge, no medicine is effective. Hydroxychloroquin is useful, but isse in case of g6pd. So mainly supportive. If very crotical, give hydroxychloroquin and is hemolysis is severe, it can be managed with blood transfusion. But only as last hope.

Nothing needs to be done. The disease is not very serious.people live full life normally without even knowing if they have the disease or not. So dont worry. In case your second child also has the condition then the only thing u need to do is inform the doctor about the condition before they give the medicine. That is all
