    If u wanna avoid the frosty edges, leave the brown protector layer on the acrylic and it cuts super neat through!

  • @bradonhoover3002

    @bradonhoover3002

    I think the issue that came up as part of his research is that weeding the protector off afterwards with such high detail/closed loop cut patterns ends up more often than not taking more time and putting more permanent scratches in the material to the point that it obscures the artwork more than it would to just peel the protector off first and wipe it with alcohol like Jazza did

  • @RickHunterCL

    You can remove that brown protector and replace it with a low tack transfer paper, way easier to remove

    you should try something like arranging mirrors in a space to reflect a laser beam to create some artwork. it would show if you put smoke or fog over it. like those string arts when you knot a piece of string between nails

  • @pf6137
    @pf6137 Жыл бұрын

    For generally using Lazer cutters it's better to keep the film on the acrilic, it helps minimize the fuzziness and in general it's better to do it for everything you can it helps also with wood to minimize charring if you place tape on the area you wish to cut. This is just my experience with using them and it works completely fine for etching too obviously. As long as you have a good ventilation(not even needed just me being really really overly cautious on advice), which you should since you use a Lazer cutter.

  • @jakekunz5168
    @jakekunz5168 Жыл бұрын

    7:53 I think the best thing to do with a forefront character would be to reverse the lines and have the “open” spaces be a fill area so that they are etched to be opaque and stand out front the background more 👍!!

  • @Lady.MdNght

    So watching this video I realize Jazza already has a kind of experience with this already. Starting with the painting he did with Chloe Rose, then the Treasure Planet one he did with his Pro Pack. The way he set up the layers reminded me a lot of the way he set up the Doctor Strange piece. It's incredible how what started with painting on Epoxy kind of leads to things on this

  • @AdrianJensen
    @AdrianJensen Жыл бұрын

    You can make a digital artwork (or use a photo) and separate it into the red, green, and blue color channels, and hand etch those into the acrylic like you're cross hatching with a pen, and then when you light those 3 panels up with red, blue, and green lights they'll add together into a full color image.

  • @Ms.D-loves-minis3

    This is very cool! It’s interesting how you layered the colors to make the perspective details. It’s funny that I would have layered them differently to make the details pop different, but that’s just how my goofy little brain saw it as you were putting it together. I love comparing ideas to improve my artistic style. Thanks for creating this piece and sharing it with us ❤❤❤

    Use the clear rear panel like did for the back. Get blue, red, yellow, and lightly smokey gray sheets. Engrave the background on clear. Next, take all the pieces that are red and engraved on the red sheet. Blue on blue and smokey gray for the black outline. Then stake the. You might need to get thin acrylic like 3mm.

    Have you ever heard of or seen Michael Garman’s sculpture towns? He has a museum in Old Colorado City. City scapes, and windows sow a holographic projection like you’re peeping in on people’s lives. Amazing. The layers you did reminded me of this museum.

    If you ever want to use the 2nd option lights in the future, I think I had either the same one or something very similar in my college dorm. The R button adds more red one point at a time up to 255 so you have to really spam it to see a difference. Same with the G and B buttons.

    This reminds me of glass painting with all the different layers and kinda 3D I think trying glass painting new isn’t too much of a difference so it might be easier cause you had to think how the different layers would work for this piece and with glass painting if you do it. Amazing video though you inspired me to do this kind of medium thank you.
