I am so glad you posted this video. In 2015, I was one of the first (Kickstarter) and purchased the Glowforge Basic for $2500. I didn't get the machine until 2019. I was afraid of it because I lived in an apartment building, and the machine could catch on fire. Each time I printed anything, the smoke itself scared me. Second, it wasn't quiet! It was LOUD. I decided to sell it since it took up so much space and was too loud. They never sent me the air filter, so they gave me a check for $550. I sold the unit for $ 1700. I was able to get $2250 after waiting forever for this machine and turn around, I was frightening of it. Here I am, hearing about this new version, Glowforge Spark and Aura, and I am excited. It's lighter, easy to use, and safe. Then, I stumbled on your video. Nothing really changed. That is so sad! Period.

Hello! Glad the video was helpful and insightful. Yes the Spark is the newest and is smaller than the Aura. Each machine has its pros and cons. Maybe you can look into a cricut machine? Not sure exactly what type of projects you like to make but depending on which one you buy it also can cut through thinner woods and materials.

I’m thinking of purchasing. Still doing my research but you have a very good video on a lot of the issues. I haven’t seen any videos like this it was very informative. Thank you
