My Mahindra has a hard start every morning. After the car starts well. I leave in a hot country, Belize. I suspect the glow plugs are the cause.

Were the glow plugs the problem? I have the same issue, warm days long crank

Brand new to owning a 1994 E350 Diesel. When I turn the key on do I need to wait for the clicking to stop before I fire up my ignition?

Wait till the glow plug sign on the dash board turns off.

Will the Glow Plug be constantly On when the engine is running ?

No, In 99% vehicles Glow plugs starts heating the chamber when key is in ignition on position ( but not started) and switches off after 20-25 seconds. It will not switch on till you switch off the key and start the car again. 1% exception will be some types of vehicles or generators ment for extreme cold temp, where the ECU or ICM checks if the engine is firing or not due to extreme cold and automatically start the glow plug for 10 seconds to initiate firing in that cylinder if it is CRDI type engine. In Tdi all plugs are connected in series and glow all togather.
