Effective January 31st, 2022, Detective John Ricci, badge number 133, retired after serving 25 years as a Law Enforcement Officer. Det. Ricci was hired by the Gloucester Township Police Department in 1997 and served as a Patrolman until 2004 when he was promoted to Detective.
During his career, Det. Ricci was assigned to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), Special Response Team (SRT), US Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMSRFTF). In 2017 Det. Ricci was assigned to the Gloucester Township Professional Development Bureau (PDB), where he spent the remainder of his career.
During his career, Det Ricci received numerous awards and letters of accommodation.
We are grateful for Det. Ricci dedicated service to the Gloucester Township Police Department and the community. We wish Det. Ricci, a long and happy retirement!
