I have these palettes in Heather and Jute, and I did like them, but I've only used them one time. I do agree that I'm not sure my hair was wildly blown back, but I will say Jute is a really lovely simple taupe eye look. Thank you for the in depth review!

Yeah the shades are beautiful and you can produce some pretty looks! But that ain’t enough for to me to give it the Kait seal of approval 😂

Would love if color pop did this exact concept but gave us an excellent, really wet shiny glitter topper. I am also not huge on eyeshadow. I usually use none or do a one-and-done shadow look, so of course, these pallets spoke to me. I really do think it is such a good idea, but if the formulas are not, no, just no! 22 bucks for 3 eyeshadows. If they were 15 dollars or less, okay, MAYBE I can deal with the formula being crappy but no. On top of all this, the matt is unusable? No, just no! Shame! Such good colors and such good concepts.

I was thinking about picking up the shade tweak but after watching your review, I've decided not to. I absolutely LOVE the loreal paris 24 hr eyeshadow shade in amber rush that you were talking about. It is SO GOOD and STUNNING on my blue eyes! I'm not really into wearing a lot of eyeshadow anymore. I like the idea but sad to see it doesn't perform well. Thank you for your honest review 🙂

@@StateofKait Do you have the Charlotte Tilbury Nude palette for the face? I know the two brown colors are supposed to be contour colors but they look amazing on the eyes. And then the highlight is stunning as a topper!

Honestly it depends on the shade. Almond and the lighter pastel shades are SUPER sheer. But I have Teak and it's very pigmented, although the mattes are still a bit chalky and there isn't much variation among the formulas. But the shades do vary in pigment level, so just go for one of the darker ones

Sounds like Glossier needs to work on how to make a powder shadow formulas. But you of course still looked beautiful Kait🤩

Thank you! I just think you can’t launch a subpar powder eyeshadow in a sea of incredible powder eyeshadows that come in a wide range of price points elsewhere.

It seems like the Athr prose quartz palette has many of the same tones of shades and they preform much better (and you get more in the Athr palette)!

I’m confused too! If they had added one more shade, tweaked the formula to be more pigmented, and made the components modular - this would have been a 10/10 hit for me. :/

Teak was the only one that performed well so I think the darker shades like Prairie are probably good

Ugh I lovvvvvvve some of glossiers products but that horrible use of space in the quad is bugging me. You know what I think they should have done? Let the 4th space be an open spot where you could smush your brush against the component. When I wet my eye shadow, I like to gently scratch the shadow so it turns into loose powder at the edge. Then try to pick that up on the edge of an eyeshadow brush. Then I spray fix plus onto whatever surface I have available and kinda mush the brush in with it all. It would have been nice to have an empty pan in the component for that purpose. But I guess it still would have looked strange.

Damn I grabbed a palette to get free shipping before even looking for the reviews online bcs i really like how the Almond palette looks like on the site. EVERY single person who reviews this is disappointed. I wish I had gotten the balms instead dammit.

Anytime! I'm worried I'll get comments from people saying that Glossier intended to make a sheer powder eyeshadow but the way the models look says otherwise.

I'm not gonna lie, these eyeshadow are for people like me who don't want a bunch of color payoff but instead a there not there shadow. So there has to be a market for them.

I found this release lackluster to begin with. I don’t think I’d use 3 formulas of the same shade to begin with, but after watching your review, I’m really unimpressed with their performance. They could have released duos based on your review.

Seems like Glossier is coasting with this release but I don’t get why… we can buy better eyeshadows literally anywhere nowadays!! These palettes are so disappointing, this formula lacks dimension, it comes off as unsophisticated.

I agree. I totally understand that their whole vibe is sheer - just look at the lidstars and skywashes, but powder eyeshadows are SO standard everywhere that you just can’t produce such a subpar product like this.
