Sitthichai is so humble, exactly how a fighter should be and respectful to his opponent.....

It looks like Marat is hitting Sitt but he's actually slipping them out so masterfully he doesn't show any damage on his face, his head movements were some next level stuff too, some razor close dodges. This guy is something special.

Looking at the replays you can how many times Sittichai was accurately counterpunching. While Marat swung away, Sittichai got in punch after punch to the face. That scores.

The demeanor of Sitthichai is modest, self-effacing, gracious, respectful, & polite, that is unique & hard to find among any fighters. I wonder if anyone else feels the same w/ me. (06/23/23)

The guys talking are way off. Sitthichai controlled the distance, had better defense, landed the cleaner and more powerful shots while grigorian was mostly hitting shoulders, the guard or totally missing the target.

They are scoring in a kickboxing mindset, they score differently in muay that bouts

Sittichai always seems to be one step ahead in these fights with Marat. Marat did well but not enough to take the belt from the champ.

Prometheus Marat should rematch Yodsanklai , Superbon and a superfight with Buakaw . He need to pick up every bit of experience in dealing with a Thai Nak Muay , he lost an unbelievable close fourth fight against Sittichai and i believe he didn't made some few mistakes it'll would of been him getting that belt .

Sittichai was great in defence, that is how he is one step ahead. Look closely how he side steps to evade knees and slips punches. Marat nearly got the better of him in rounds 3 and 4 but otherwise was not able to overwhelm the defence. Great stylistic matchup and a very close fight!

@biscobisco I disagree and most serious kickboxing will disagree also. The fights were close but Sittichai has won every fight they've had. If you're not convinced come speak to some of us in the Kickboxing section of Sherdog forum. There are guys on there that have been following the sport for over a decade and they all had sittichai winning.

@biscobisco ​ I brought up Sherdog forum because they are plenty of serious kickboxing fans who's opinions I trust. I think you're saying you've been watching the sport for 20+ years to win this argument but if you have for that long I cant see how you had Marat winning the first 3 fights unless you're biased. Noticed how I didn't tell you how long I've been following and competing in the sport because it means nothing here.

Sitthichai has a great defence and a well balanced attack. Commentators are always against thai, it is so unprofessional.

just because a fighter is more aggressive and has more output doesn't mean he wins the fight, if you look close a lot of the kick boxers strikes aren't landing. I'm not saying he isn't hitting the thai, but he throws these big flashy combinations and maybe only 2-1 punches or kick's lands in total. while the thai is less active, he picks his shots very well, landing a good percentage of the time. you gotta watch very closely.

Just like when Sittichai fought Rusmalen. He should of won the first fight and lose the second but they gave him the second and not the first. It's hard to take the belt from the champ in Glory. You either get a knock down or knockout against the champ to beat them. It's hard on points to sway these judges.

Sittichai sitsongpeenong is the reason I love glory kickboxing. His technique is so flawless. Thai people are so fearless they literally go into fights not nervous looking at all. I would need a larazapan having to go into the ring with any one of the glory fighters.

Sittenchai did not look as aggressive as marat.

he was less aggressive than usual, but that is called being cautious. he took very little risks as marats game plan was clearly to get a ko. but sittichai had better accuracy and defense. he wasnt hurt or damaged at all at the end. marats ribs will be hurting for days.

Sittichai had probably studied his opponent and watched his fight videos and saw how dangerous he was and was cautious stepping in his opponent range. That my guess why sittchai might of been neutral with his strikes.

By nature Sittichai is not really a fighter? and just because he is polite outside the ring! come on, this dude expected a fighter to be outside just battering and murdering people around, and being just rude in general, because battering and murdering is very rude, lol.

Kid Power -_- watch a fight with a mentality of JUST wanting to see the best compete at a high level. you’ll have more fun, I promise. The sport is amazing. look @ sittichai, comes from a strong Muay Thai background, has to change major tools in his arsenal because he wants to compete in kickboxing, and look at him now, one of the best, if not THE best in this promotion.

Marat caused more damage with clear strikes changing levels. He won rounds 2, 3 and 4. Sittichai just kick the arms. That was close, but in my opinion Marat won clearly.

i disagree with this decision, sitthichai was passive pretty much the whole fight, while Grigorian was throwing mad but uneffective combinations, boring to watch pretty much.

marat is a fucking horrible sport, he must be a real asshole in normal life. tried to waddle out without so much as touching gloves lol. it was a good match, but its also the VERY first time i didnt hear the announcers talking about how you have to really take it to get the belt, but now that sittichai has it its he just has to convince 3 judges he won the 5th round lol. i like glory but they are silly sometimes. it was a clear win for sit, his accuracy was way better, threw less kicks but landed all but a few, landed 100% on knees and worked marats body over. he was correct i think about marat being next best to him in glory (lightweight) marat is tough, but not quite tough enough.

Look at his fights against Buakaw , Kem , Sudsakorn , etc ... he barely made it . Furthermore he pulled out of the Yodwicha fight , he don't want none of Yodsanklai , Superbon , Sittichai and Buakaw .
