They only had so much room in the budget for any one person’s salary. Beyoncé would be asking for too much. Rihanna would just be getting a big name just to get a big name. All the Twitter dorks would be complaining that she’s not an “FBA” and all that old sugar cookie nonsense.

Fab made a tremendous point. In the 90’s we had Kim, Foxy, Trina and various other raunchy female rappers. We also had Lauryn, Missy, Eve and other talented female rappers to balance things out. Fab simply pointed out that the balance is missing and short bus shorty aka GloRilla proved his point precisely.

To be fair they both have a point IMO.Concerning GloRilla she has songs where she talks about her life and real life stuff but her trash label only promotes the sexual songs just to appeal the mainstream market.I listened to her EP and she has deep songs in it and it's a damn shame because you can learn more about her.A lot of people don't take her seriously because she's not well guided CMG ruined her as an artist she has potential and she's still young immature and learning.I don't like to judge people who are trying to have a better life they have their background and they're doing with what they have.

2:26 I low key don't wanna give The Color Purple anymore type of publicity being how it made black men look in a fantasy way, and people might not realize its an I completely understand your concern. It's important to support actors who are doing great work, but at the same time, it's important to be aware of the message being conveyed by these characters. Sometimes, the message can be harmful or misleading, and people may not always be able to discern the difference between reality and fiction. It's important to encourage critical thinking and discernment when consuming media, so that people can differentiate between what's real and what's not. It's also important to have open and honest conversations about these topics, so that we can create a better understanding of the impact of media on our society.

I agree 💯 with Fabolous and diss agree with her because with the male artist you have many categories of rap options J.Cole, Drake, Kendrick Lamar last album (conscious rap) or Mac Miller, Russ. My point is there are many categories of rap when it comes to the male rap artist. When will a female artist decide to knockdown down the door, because all of it does sounds one-dimensional. Lil Kim, Nicki, Cardi, Meagan same stuff. J.Cole, 50, Wiz, Mac, Drake, Russ, Logic, Eminem, Jeezy etc different stuff.

Glorilla, my sista, PLEASSLLEEE….I’m from Memphis just like you! There’s no women in gangs, shooting, robbing and killing?! Just last summer in 2022, there was a car full of sista’s who pulled up on another sista and shot the car up in Memphis. If I’m not mistaken it either happened in hickory hill (aka hickory hood) or the Raleigh area; I can’t remember which. Even this year there’s been more sista’s committing crimes like the brothas. Hell, my own female cousin who grew up in Binghamton (if you from Memphis, you know what I’m talking about) use to roll with Some VL’s and GD’s. Fabolous is right, in the 90’s we had the ying and yang of hip hop when it came to female rappers. I know, I’m young but old enough at the same time to remember. Nowadays all the mainstream female rappers are negative talking about the same thing. The only sista’s trying to rap positive don’t get much label push or support from the mainstream females…i.e. like glorilla! So my sista, with all due respect, save the hypocrisy!! Fab is right!!!

She replaced LaChanze, the original Celie for the Musical. I wasn't surprised that she was chosen to play Celie again. This new movie is an adaptation of the musical. That's why it's so many musicians casted for the movie.
